TV Room

The room looks relatively normal at first sight. There is a large screen TV, a sofa set, and a coffee table with old copies of TV Guide in a pile on top. Then you notice the crack on the side of the TV frame. Someone threw something at the TV...

As a forwarning, I hate the TV show.

Now, there are good things about it. The escargos moment was beautiful. Jake's (Shawn's) evil grin from The Capture was classic. And the morphing sequences look interesting. But the few good aspects of the show just don't make up for the numerous awful parts.

First of all, the charaters. They are totally wrong. I don't know if this is the fault of the actors/actresses, or director, or scripwriter, or someone else. I've heard people say that the people can't act. They may be right, or the actors might have been to told to act that way. I think that the actors, be they good actors or not, are totally wrong for the parts. Most basic, they look wrong. Jake has straight brown hair, not that curly mess Shawn has. And Rachel is way too short. She should be taller, much taller than Cassie and Marco. My guess is about the height of Tobias. On the show, she's only an inch taller. Which comes to the point of Cassie and Marco. According to #24, Cassie is about 4 feet tall. I got the impression that Marco is a bit taller. They don't have a ruler on the show, but Nadia doesn't look 4 feet. And for some stupid reason, Nadia has long hair when Cassie has short. And Tobias. Oh, boy. What to say. He's too tall. On the show, he looks taller than Jake. No way. Tobias is about Rachel's height. And Tobias doesn't have black hair, he has blond (dirty blond). I could make a blond joke about Rachel and Tobias right about now, but I won't.

The morphing sequences are really fast, but I can understand their reasoning for this. It's a 30 min show. If every morph took 2-3 min like it's suppose to, there would be no time left for anything else. I'm sure some people would like this, but...

Which brings us to the point of lenght. 30 min is not long enough for the complicated plots of the Animorphs books. The producers then cut the plot until they are pointless and stupid. Which results in flat charaters and nothing interestin. Solution: Lengthen the show to a hour. I personally found the 2-parters better than the rest of them. Since Face Off wasn't aired in the US, I don't know how a 3-parter is. (It's supposed to be during a basketball game, but the title makes me think hockey.)

To explain the crack on the TV, I like many fans, tend to scream and throw objects at the TV when something stupid happenes. One example is yelling at the -censored- Andalites to use their -censored- tails. Can you really see Andalites wrestling?

I have a lot more complaints, but I'm sure you're tired of hearing my blabbering, and I'm tired of typing. I'll put up the rest of my insane comments later.;)

I recently found out, curtosy of Morphz and Guili that the show only has six episodes for the second season. Wahooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! No more Tv show!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::breaks out the champane:: Death to AniTV! Cheers!
