Ghost in the Machine

1x06

This episode was full of UST moments! They weren't quite as evident if you didn't look for them, but they were there. It was the sixth episode in the first season and already their relationship was growing from the previous episodes. Take "Conduit": Scully readily handed over the information to the NSA guys, but in this episode she told Mulder to use the Virus against the computer, proof that she is learning to trust Mulder more and more.

As for the USTy moments or the 'shippy moments, when Scully fell in the elevator, Mulder quickly helped her up and asked if she was all right. He is such a sweetheart! :) *swoon, if only the guys I knew were that sweet* Ahem back the review:) That scene made the episode for me:)

In the room when they were splicing Brad's voice together and Jerry walks in, it was like Mulder and Scully have this bond that Mulder and that other guy never had when they were partners. It was interesting:) I think Jerry felt it too; as I have said before, it's Mulder and Scully against the world; no two could have a stronger bond.

The first scene, in which we see Jerry hugging Mulder, didn't Mulder seem awfully uncomfortable with the hug? He's never that way when Scully hugs him! *grins* Then when Jerry asks Scully, "You must be Dana Scully", she looks shocked that he knew who she was, then looks questionably at Mulder. Mulder states "We used to be friends." Then Jerry scoffs "We were partners." Scully gives Mulder a little look and Mulder looks at her apologetically. What I want to know is why Mulder calls Jerry by his first name but won't call Scully by hers. Maybe it has to do with keeping her at bay; last names are far less personal that first names are.

Lastly, when they are breaking into the building, watch as they walk through the underground parking lot; Mulder holds her arm the whole scene. *sigh* Again, what a sweetheart! Makes me wonder what he is thinking when he acts like a jerk to her in other episodes.
