Morale Booster's

Okay folks, looks like we have another 'Pusher' on our hands. I suggest we all make a little shrine in our room, next to our X- Files stuff, for the greatest writer who ever lived Vince Gilligan. *sigh* First he gave us 'Pusher', then 'Paper Hearts', and now he has graced us with his 'shippy ability once again with 'Momento Mori'. This one is a keeper folks. It is one of those episodes that will be talked about for a long, long time. If anyone ever doubted how Fox Mulder felt about Dana Scully, after watching this episode, I am sure, no positive, that they doubt no longer. Had to watch that episode with a huge box of tissues nearby. Never Again didn't really upset me as much as I thought it would; it had its moments, which Rebecca will tell you about further into the newsletter. I leave you with this quote:

"I believe the truth will save you Scully, I think it will save both of us."

-Fox Mulder to Dana Scully at the end of Momento Mori.

Where oh where do I start? First off, I must congratulate the X-Files for the clean sweep at the Golden Globe awards earlier this month. And since I am on the topic of the awards show, did anyone catch that kiss between David and Gillian? I am only mentioning this because maybe it will give CC some ideas. They did look great kissing, even though it was David and Gillian, not Mulder and Scully. Still, it is the closest we have been to a kiss between the too of them. And I know it made my heart skip a beat.

Seeing as there isn't a new episode for another week yet *sigh*, I feel I must boost the morale of my fellow 'shippers. I know, I know, I talk too much about the episode "Pusher". I guess it's just because this episode has it all. I mean if ever there was any doubt about how Fox Mulder feels about Dana Scully, it is all erased after watching it. This episode... *sigh*. I don't think I can say enough about it- just the final confrontation between Modell and Mulder says it all. Mulder had no trouble pointing the gun at his head and pulling the trigger, but when he was forced to point to gun at Scully-- it tore him up inside, he was unable to do it. He pleaded with Scully to run, and if you listen closely you can hear him almost whispering "Scully", in such a tone of desperation. Just watching that scene shows us how he values her life so much more than his own. How he is so willing to kill himeself but not the women he loves.

I know there are times when we all have questioned the sanity of Mr. Chris Carter. We have asked ourselves "What was he thinking?" when he does a episode without any UST whatsoever. But I am telling you the UST is there! You just have to find it. *grins* I have gone over my limited collection of episodes and I tell you I can find UST in every episode. In the future newsletters I do plan to make a list of it all. If you area ever in doubt may I ask you all to watch the most UST- filled episode, Pusher. If you don't have a copy on tape, shame on you! That episode is what this whole organization is based around. *smile*
