This is the deep-space exploratory, scientific, diplomatic, and defensive agancy of the United Federation of Planets. Starfleet was chartered by the Federation in 2161 with a mission to "boldly go where no man has gone before." The most visible part of Starfleet is it's interstellar starships

STARFLEET ACADEMY

This is the training facility for Starfleet personnel. It is located at the Presidio of San Francisco, Earth. It was established in 2161, and is a 4-year institution. It's motto is: "ex astris, scientia", meaning "from the stars, knowledge".

GENERAL ORDERS AND REGULATIONS:-

THE PRIME DIRECTIVE:-

This states that Starfleet personnel and spacecraft are prohibited from interfering in the normal development of any society, and that any starfleet vessel or crew member is expendable to prevent violation of this rule.

GENERAL ORDER 7:-

This forbids contact with the planet Talos IV, violation of this order results in death.

GENERAL ORDER 12:-

This requires adequate precautions be taken when approached by a spacecraft with which contact has not been made.

ORDER 104, SECTION C:-

Starfleet regulation that states the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) may relieve a commander of duty if he or she is mentally or physically unfit.

CODE 1 EMERGENCY:-

Federation Signal for a total disaster requiring an immediate response.

CODE 1:-

Starfleet designation for a declaration of war.

CODE 2:-

Starfleet encryption protocol that the Romulans had broken as of 2267.

CODE 47:-

Designating a starfleet subspace communique of extremely high sensitivity or secrecy. Intended for eyes of a captain and voice print is required. No computer records are kept.

CODE 710:-

Code prohibitng a spacecraft from approaching a planet.

CODE FACTOR 1:-

Starfleet code for invasion status.

CODE 1 ALPHA ZERO:-

Signal indicating the discovery of a space vehicle in distress.

RED ALERT:-

A state of maximum crew and systems readiness.

YELLOW ALERT:-

A state of incresed readiness.
