The Girls
1. CeeJay!
Ceej' was my first rat, sadly she passed away
in 1996 at 2 years old. She was a wonderful, gentle and intelligent
girl and I miss her badly! She was a wonderful shoulder rat and enjoyed
nothing more than a stroll through the town. I even took her with
me on the day I left College, many of the lecturers were fascinated by
her and came to pet her! CeeJays favorite passtime was destroying
my meagre collection of clothes nibbling interesting patterns in them!
2. Amber.
I finally decided to get another rat in April
of 1997, it was quite a tough decision as we felt that no other rat could
ever replace CeeJay, and we were right, but Amber didn't need to _replace_
CeeJay, she is her own character and holds her own special place in my
heart!
She had a Buff coloured hood when I first
got her, but this has faded out, leaving her an all over cream colour.
She is now a big squishy creamy marshmallow. She is also wonderfully
gentle and intelligent and her favorite passtimes are eating and sleeping
(anywhere!) Sadly Amber has Myco, the dreaded rat disease, and I
can only pray that her health gets no worse :'-(
3. Caisha
Caisha (pronounced Kay-sha), came to my home
in May 1997 as a companion for Amber. Caisha is the Claudia Schiffer
of my rats, she is a right little poser. I am unsure as to what colour
she is, she could be Lilac, Mink or Chocolate - if anybody has any suggestions
as to her correct colouration, please let
me know. She is so cunning, but whenever she looks at you with
those huge dark eyes of hers, you just have to forgive her!

4. Ferdy
I brought Ferdy and his brother home in February
1998. Ferdy is a Cinnamon coloured male model rat, he acts just like
Caisha, prancing around looking gorgeous! :-) With his big dark soulful
eyes, you just want to cuddle him, and he is a licky bundle of fur!
If you pick him up he just flops in your hand, then when he's had enough,
he prances off and gets into mischief!
5. Radar
Radar chose me! He is a soppy, licky
little bundle of Agouti fur and podgyness! Radar loves to eat and
be cuddled and keeps an eye on you all the time. He has a problem
with his eyes which are smaller than any other rat I've known and are often
surrounded by porphyrin, I think it is caused by irritation, (possibly
eyelashes?) Hopefully when I take him to the vet, something
will be done for my little friend. He is such a happy rattie, except
when his brother beats him up but that should end when they have the *snip*
in a couple of months time (but <shhhh> don't tell them that!!) ;-)
