Debra Dimera was born in Mars Colony, Mars, one of five children born to Wesley and Katia Dimera. Her mother is a teacher and her father died tragically when Debra was only 10, the day after her birthday when he had given her her favorite gift ever, her pet turtle, Lebo. After her father's death, Debra studied extremely hard at the time to try to escape her problems. But Debra soon became interested in he medical field, the same as her father [previously had. So, Debra soaked up all the information around her and while doing so she heard of opportunities in Starfleet. After some careful thought Debra, age 26 at the time, applied to Starfleet Academy. She was accepted immediately and left right away.

Debra worked hard while at the academy and while there put some of her painful past behind her. Six years later, Debra graduated specializing in trauma.

Her first posting was on the USS Hornet. While there she showed herself to be a worthy member.

When she heard about the USS Enterprise she decided she would apply. She spent seven months aboard the Enterprise until the Gamma Quadrant Disaster and then transferred to the USS Endeavour.

Debra is a 37 year old human female. She is slender with dark skin, long straight black hair and cocoa colored eyes. She is of African descent. Her hobbies include traditional African dances and basket weaving.
