Jesse Sanchez was born in the city of Melbourne. His father (Raymond Sanchez), a retired Starfleet engineer, his mother a teacher (Janet Collens). He has 2 older brothers (Ferdinand aka Ferry & Ignatious aka Iggy) and 1 younger sister (Barbara). He had another older sister (Esther), but she died of congental complications when Jesse was ten.

As a Starfleet officer, Jesse attended the Academy graduating in 2372. He excelled at athletics, proving himself in track and field, and swimming. His academic record was average. He studied Criminal Psychology and Interstellar Law. He was posted to Starbase 86 after graduation and was quickly promoted to Lt. (jg). His first shipboard assignment came during the Enterprise rescue where he and a number of others were sent to the Gamma Quadrant to bring back the survivors. He took temporary assignment on DS9 until permanent assignment to the Endeavour took place. Asssiged originally as Assistant Chief of Security, he recently took a promotion to chief when the active chief was called to HQ as a tactical advisor. He received the rank of Lt. Commander, and several decorations for his action during the battle with the Khynah.

Stalwart, he peruses his duty with dedication. He lives hard and plays hard. A natural athlete, he plays many sports. He collects ancient firearms & sports memorabilia (terrian). He is a class clown, and quick with a joke. But, he is also deadly and temperamental when dealing with undesirables. He tends to be protective of those weaker than himself or those he perceives as weaker. He is known for his sixth sense in matters and tends to treat matters with a large dose of skepticism.
