Xavier St. Jean was born in Copernicus City on Luna, Earth's moon. His parents were Starfleet engineers at the Earth Station McKinley fleetyards in Earth orbit. As a young child, St. Jean proved to be a n adept technician but spent his time daydreaming of becoming well known and working on his sketches and drawings. No one in St. Jean's immediate family, aside from himself, had any aspirations beyond fleetyards and so his parents and brothers saw him as lazy, when he fantasized about traveling.

At age 18, St. Jean ran away to Vienna on Earth and applied to join the city art school. While his works were good, they were not good enough. He was rejected and St. Jean, thoroughly crushed, exercised his final option and moved to San Francisco to enter Starfleet Academy.

Life at the Academy: St. Jean decided to pursue a career in the field of engineering, his only remaining skill that was of any practical purpose. As a first year cadet, St. Jean was utterly tortured by bullying upperclassmen. St. Jean, as well as several friends, put together a scheme to exact revenge. During the commencement address at the bullies' graduation ceremony, using a "borrowed" public cargo transporter, St. Jean and his friends beamed away those bullies who were standing on stage, ready to receive their commissions. Sending them through the transporter buffers, St. Jean filtered out any synthetic molecules in the patterns and then sent them back to their place of origin. When the bullies rematerialized, they were completely naked and completely humiliated in front on an entire conglomeration of Starfleet command level officers. While St. Jean and his friends were nearly expelled for such a dangerous stunt, his act gained him the respect of more than a few of his classmates.

St. Jean graduated three years later with honors in liberal arts and a masters in Engineering.

Previous Assignment: St. Jean's first assignment was to the Utopia Planetia Fleetyards in Mars orbit where he was a junior warp systems installation technician. He raised through the ranks and was posted at several Starfleet installations around and near the Sol Section, including the San Francisco Fleetyards, the Venus Terraforming Project and the Proxima Maintenance Yards. Finally he requested starship duty and was immediately posted to the USS Endeavour which he had worked on while at Utopia Planetia. After two years, he was transferred to the USS Alliance.

Life aboard the Alliance: St. Jean is somewhat socially reluctant but excels in his duties due to the fact that he is intimately familiar with every technical system on the ship. He is suspicious of strangers, but is very protective of those few individuals with whom he calls a "friend". St. Jean's Achilles heel is women. He is easily manipulated by them.

Xavier St. Jean is a human male, single, tall and lanky with deep dark eyes and short brown, sweptback hair.
