Youngest of the Sanchez family. Barbara began her career in Starfleet attending the Acadamy as an Engineering student, following in the footsteps of her father. Wounded in an incident aboard the USS Columbia, she switched majors to study medicine. She is now an intern and will be an orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in bio-engineering. Not especially pretty, known more for her easy going style and her tenatious attitude. Makes friends easily and works well with almost anyone.
