Linda Emerson was born in a small colony on the Earth's moon. Her mother was a Starfleet Officer and ever since she was a child she has known she wanted to follow in her footsteps. Her father had been a successful physician and she shared his compassion for the sick and his skill in science and medicine. Wanting to emulate both of her parents, she applied to Starfleet Medical and she graduated cum laude. She served as medical officer on several starbases before transferring to the Endeavour.

She is now 39 years old and single. She is tall, pale, and frail looking, but actually quite healthy. She is polite, well adjusted, intelligent and very good at her job. Her hobbies included tennis and painting. She has not yet decided whether or not she wants to marry or raise a family. In fact, she is not exactly sure what she wants to do with the rest of her life.
