Jared and Joseph are true "Starfleet brats" having been born at the Utopia Planetia Fleetyards and living the rest of their lives aboard starships as their mother's Starfleet assignment changed. Joseph is the dominant twin, is domineering and bossy. He likes to be in control of every situation and takes after his mother in this respect. Jared is less aggressive and takes after his father in temperament. He has a gift for mathematics and likes to figure out odds and calculate outcomes. Both children are known as the "Terrible Twins" aboard the Endeavour and people try to avoid them whenever possible. Their father, Martin Taggert brought the twins aboard Deep Space 13 when his wife, Lt. Cmdr. Maxine Taggert was transferred to the USS Alliance. They are 10 years old with dark brown hair and eyes and olive skin.
