Distinguishing Marks (scars, etc.) None. T'Nara has never been injured seriously enough to leave a mark, and would not consider getting herself tattooed "logical"
Physical Description (when on duty) T'Nara is careful to adhere precisely to Starfleet uniform standards when on duty and strives to present the competent, logical image popular among Vulcan Starfleet officers.
Physical Description (when on personal time) (clothing style, etc): T'Nara dresses in a personal interpretation of Classic Vulcan style. Although she does own classic Vulcan family lineage robes, she also has lighter robes done in a sort of fusion of classical Vulcan and modern galactic styles. She also owns a few modern casual clothing.
Routine Activities: Awaken, perform morning maintenance routine. Dress. Meditate and perform logical cleansing rituals.
Duty Following duty perform one of several optional after duty activities possibly including Holodeck recreation, socialization or as a last resort physical conditioning.
Meal, as allowed/alter by ongoing activity
Study, up to and including holodeck and real life training with available small craft. (Holodeck for large ship helm.) Likes/Interests/Hobbies: Reading, studying to improve her technical qualifications. T'Nara has adopted Orienteering as her favorite sport. Orienteering is timed travel across a course laid out in a wilderness setting. It entails climbing, running, some wilderness survival and navigation in primitive conditions. Vulcan Children do this as their Khas-Wan coming of age ritual. For some children it's quite traumatic but T'Nara's was actually easy on her, and she enjoyed it. It wasn't until she went through Starfleet Survival training that she was introduced to orienteering as an art form.
T'Nara is also a closet speed demon. She learned to pilot or drive anything she can and invariably she'll make it go as fast as she can. She has a large selection of odd Holodeck programs from worlds all over the Federation, related to going fast. (Recreations of terran air races from the early 20th century for example.)
T'Nara is not merely into speed, but into the exercise of great skill as a pilot of flying machines.
Skills/Training/Professional Skills: T'Nara is a well-educated Vulcan woman. Her native education includes Vulcan History advanced Mathematics and Computer using skills, as well as heavy emphasis on logic and logical analyses. Due to her family back ground T'Nara has some knowledge of Andorian language and culture.
T'Nara has a more than passing familiarity with the teachings of Surak, although this is not something she emphasizes.
T'Nara is a skilled pilot since she loves to do this and practices for fun.
T'Nara is otherwise a competent and well trained general use Starfleet officer, although her skills in anything else are average or slightly above.
T'Nara studied Tal-Shyia the Vulcan Martial art an is decent at it. She borrowed several moves from Starfleet basic hand to hand training, mostly leverage moves and throws and uses them. T'Nara could be very good at martial arts if she practiced more, but as is content to remain "Adequate"
Financial Status: T'Nara's family is very well off on Vulcan. T'Nara tends to take money for granted meaning she spends a little more freely and saves a little less than she should.
Group Affiliations: Vulcan. The Family of Svatk. Starfleet.
Personality: T'Nara is a rare creature, an enthusiastic Vulcan. Since she's not allowed by her culture to be bubbly or giggly, she subsumes these urges into being quick, competent and making machines go way too fast.
Outward Attitude (What do other people see?): T'Nara is a fully enculturated Vulcan, and so one will very rarely see any out ward display of emotions unless one knows Vulcans well. T'Nara seems to always be moving towards something or away from it. She is not terribly patient, with herself or anyone else. She is always looking at her next task, project, amusement or whatever.
People who know her say that she's trying to compress her normal life space by a factor of between 1.66 and 1.75. Ambitions and Goals: T'Nara wants to have a successful career in Starfleet, go exciting places and do exciting things, and carefully avoid taking up her position as an "important" Vulcan until she's a real old lady.
T'Nara wants to exercise ultimate mastery of piloting flying machines. Not just in terms of speed but in terms of specific elements of control.
Psychological Quirks and Problems: T'Nara avoids deep responsibility, and public notice whenever possible. She is impatient and has a foreshortened view of time, especially considering her 250 years life span.
Physical Problems: T'Nara is physically small. She is used to having to think her way around large physical problems. She is at a definite disadvantage in H-T-H Combat or physical labor.
Parents/Relatives: T'Nara is a part of what in other places would be called a Noble house.
The Vulcans claim that the concept is illogical and do not acknowledge it. But T'Nara's family knows their lineage back to the time of Surak and even beyond. Their family has inherited wealth (Which the current generation adds to) and a tradition of service to Vulcan. Their ancestor was one of Surak's early converts, perhaps parallel to a disciple, except that the Vulcans don't acknowledge the concept.
T'Nara's Grandfather Soren was considered a Founder of the Federation (Although he was only two years old at the time.) Soren was an early sociologist and diplomat, whose efforts were crucial in smoothing out the Early Federation. Soren was the long time Vulcan Ambassador to Andor. This leads his family to maintain contacts on and a relationship with Andor. T'Nara learned Andorian language and culture at an early age.
T'Nara's grandfather basically reinvented the science of sociology and psycho-history, leading to a greater understanding of and planning for social forces inside the UFP.
Soren also taught the technical forms and behaviors of Diplomacy to the younger (2200's) generation of Diplomats including a young Computer Science Student named Sarek.
In the late 2280's Soren also taught the rudiments to Spock, although Spock's experience was formidable he required a last bit of polish before becoming an active member of the Vulcan Diplomatic corps.
By the early 2300's Soren was famous for his accomplishments on Vulcan and popularly known as "Soren the Elder" This set a fearsome reputation for Soren and his family to live up to.
(A kitty Sheet for Soren the Elder is available)
Soren's younger Brother Svatk and Wife still survive and are the current elders of the family.
Svatk is a weaver of cloth and it considered an artist in the field, as well as a scholar of Surak's work and history
T'Revik is his wife. She is a Medical Doctor and medical researcher.
Soren's son Sonom is T'Nara's father. T'Dell is his wife. Sonom is a respected jeweler and jewelry dealer/collector, as well as a student of the works of Surak, considered a knowledgeable historian of the time.
Although no one knows this yet, Sonom dislikes terran house cats, finding them extremely "illogical".
T'Dell is a noted Legal Scholar and is active in the Vulcan government, considered to be an expert on the modern Vulcan Legal code an it's application. She was Born on Andor, during a snowstorm, an extreme rarity for a Vulcan.
T'Nara has three Siblings, all of them somewhat older than she. Her eldest brother is respected Architect in ShiKahr, and is sought even by other planets. He is a decent scholar of Surak but somewhat lightweight in the family.
T'Nara's Older Sister is a real estate broker and works with her brother on development projects.
T'Nara's youngest brother (Still about 35 standard years older than she) is a leading executive at a company that builds a variety of ground transports. T'Nara used to accompany him to testing facilities and when she could get away with it, beg, borrow or even steal test article transports for "test drives". Until she made the decision to enter Starfleet T'Nara's goal was to get hired as a test driver for this company.
From and early age T'Nara was impressed and dismayed by the large family tradition and history. She always felt restrained and pressured by the expectation that she would uphold her family's history by studying Surak into the ground and being very stuffy and responsible.
T'Nara was never certain exactly how but she was certain that she would not let the family history circumscribe her chosen lifestyle.
Friends/Lovers: T'Nara had a number of friends on Vulcan including a few Andorian family friends, who are more like old members of her family.
In Starfleet Academy and on her first assignment T'Nara socialized well with her crewmates and made friends.
T'Nara, coming from a traditional and old Vulcan Family was bonded to a Vulcan boy named Verek, at age eight. She has met him on rare occasions and finds him mundane and dull, although she would never voice these feeling aloud. Verek has yet to experience his first Pon Farr. When he does T'Nara will be forced to return to Vulcan and to complete the Vulcan Marriage ceremony
At the Academy T'Nara had a very intense and very illogical affair with a human named Victor McKenna. She was considering how to tell her [parents and break her bond with Verek, when Victor McKenna disappeared. T'Nara pursued this case with great effort even taking time off from Starfleet Academy to search and aid the police. No clues of what happened to Victor were ever found.
T'Nara returned to the Academy and resumed the nominal course of her life without telling anyone what happened.
Enemies (And Why): Generic enemies of the Federation and Starfleet but none personally.
Pets: On a space rescue mission, T'Nara inherited a house cat name Peekaboo. She is still coming to terms with this creature and relationship with it.
Special Powers: T'Nara is a telepath, although a relatively weak one. She has been taught all the standard Vulcan telepathic skills although her lack of strong power or great talent leaves her somewhat rusty. T'Nara has a higher than average Dexterity, and very good coordination and hand speed. These things she puts to use very well in her piloting jobs.
Otherwise the usual Vulcan package.
Weaknesses: T'Nara like all Vulcans is more vulnerable to cold than humans. She is also vulnerable to a high level of humidity in the air, this can induce pneumonia if left alone for too long. T'Nara is more vulnerable to blows to the head and possible concussion damage to the brain than a normal human.
T'Nara is allergic to the stings of Earthly bees. The allergic reaction can be deadly if not treated immediately.
History and Experiences Which have Affected Character Greatly:
(All dates subject to alteration)-
Born 2357, Her father is by and large the stay at home parent and is very loving. T'Nara's early child hood is spent in the communal family home and is very happy.
2362- (Age 8) T'Nara accompanied her father to Andor on a business trip. While on Andor T'Nara wanders off to explore. She falls into a hidden cave and discovers the remains of a proto-Andoran culture on Andor. A major archaeological find.
T'Nara easily concludes her Kahs-Wan ordeal and is Bonded to Verek.
T'Revik brings home a pet for T'Nara. It is a Vulcan herbivore, the equivalent of a Bunny. It was rescued from an illegal biological experiment. After sufficient time in quarantine to assure it's harmlessness, T'Revik finds an adequately nurturing home for the creature. It has limited shape changing and color changing abilities. The creature and T'Nara become fast friends.
2363 - (Age 9) While on another trip to Earth, T'Nara is stung by a bee. The allergic reaction almost kills her, but emergency medical treatment is successful. T'Nara learns to respect and avoid bees.
2364 - (Age 10) While on yet another trip away from Vulcan, the ship T'Nara and her family are riding on is attacked by Acamerian gatherers. While the transport ship is badly damaged, it fights long enough for Starfleet to arrive. This marks T'Nara's first exposure to Starfleet, and the beginning or her consideration of joining Starfleet.
2369 - (age 15) T'Nara's beloved pet is killed by a mercenary hired to recover it for the renegade scientist who created it. This is a traumatic experience for T'Nara, and she picks up a dislike for civilian adventurers and mercenaries at this time.
2371 - (age 17) T'Nara announces her plan to join Starfleet. Her family disapproves. They feel that her talents and position on Vulcan could be utilized more efficiently for the good of herself and Vulcan.
T'Nara listens carefully to the logical reasons against going to Starfleet and then goes anyway. T'Nara later realizes that it was precisely because she had a position on Vulcan that she decided to leave.
2372 - (Age 18) T'Nara goes to Starfleet Academy on Earth.
2374 - (age 20) T'Nara begins her wild and Illogical affair with Victor McKenna
2375 - (Age 21) After McKenna's disappearance, T'Nara leaves Starfleet Academy temporarily, turning every rock and bush for some clue to his whereabouts. After six months she is force to conclude no clues exist and returns to the Academy.
2376 - (Age 22) T'Nara does her cadet Cruise about a small science vessel. She is a responsible officer and working member of the crew on this voyage and acquits herself well.
2377 - present (age 23 - ???) T'Nara serves aboard the USS Robert April (An Akira class frigate) as it undertakes a variety of missions.
2378 - (age 24) The Robert April responds to a civilian colony's mayday to find it under attack (The Khynah?). T'Nara joins the away team to the colony delivering relief supplies. They are cut off from the Robert April for seven weeks. Although harrowing the attackers never land enough forces to conquer the colony before being driven off by the April. Similarly all attempts to relieve the colony and the away team are foiled.
Eventually reinforcement arrive and the attackers are driven away.
Later that year, T'Nara is part of another away team responding to a distress call. An old scout fell ill in his small ship. The away team arrived just in time to comfort his last moments. The Scout asked T'Nara personally (although his mental state is questionable) to take care of his pet cat. T'Nara and peekaboo begin their relationship.
The present. T'Nara transfers to DS13 with a good recommendation from her former commanding officer.
