History--Gene has his Ph.D. in Business Management with a Minor in Personnel Relations. He has managed to acquire 47 bar/lounges around the Alpha Quadrant and has plans for further expansion. Thirty-eight of these establishments are located on Starfleet facilities.
Served as Bartender on two Starfleet ships, the USS Repulse and USS Goddard
Gene's parents live on Risa as managers. He has two sisters--Rosa, 35 who is a teacher on Mars, is married and has two girls--Ashley 12 and Ruth 10. Gene is their godfather and is very close to all his family. His youngest sister, Sylvia 30, is single and manages one of his bars on Starbase 114.
Gene loves to travel which is one reason he signed on with the Explorer. The other reason is that he is involved with its Captain, Alex Zukoft. They have been together for the past five years now.
He enjoys socializing and is considered by many to be a 'great counselor'. He has what one would describe as a 'kind face' and there aren't many people he can't get along with. He appears to like everyone and is quick to help out when needed.
He enjoys being with people, botany, reading and music and plays the guitar and piano quite well. Gene has one pet, a four year old Irish setter named, Captain.
