Knitting Instructions.
Materials: Size 4 (American size 10) knitting needles; 27 1 oz. (25-gram)
of double knitting ( American worsted weight) wool in the following colors:
3 purple, 6 camel, 3 bronze, 3 mustard (yellow), 4 rust (red), 3 bluegray,1 greengray, and 4 olive.
Guage 14 stitches per 4 ins. 20 rows per 4 ins.

For people crocheting, divide the rows by 2.  So 14 knitted rows would be 7 crocheted rows.

Using purple yarn, cast on 60 stiches. In plain knitting (garter stitch),
always slip the first stitch in each row.
Knit rows in following order: 8 purple, 52 camel, 16 bronze, 10 mustard,
20 rust, 8 purple, 20 olive, 8 mustard, 32 camel, 16 rust, 8 bronze, 12
purple, 42 olive, 10 mustard, 18 bluegray, 10 rust, 54 camel, 10 purple,
22 olive, 14 bluegray, 8 mustard, 20 rust, 8 purple, 40 bronze, 12 camel,
8 bluegray, 42 rust, 16 mustard, 20 olive, 8 purple, 44 camel, 12 bronze,
22 bluegray, 8 rust, 14 purple, 8 camel, 16 mustard, 56 olive, 16 rust,
14 bluegray, 10 mustard, 20 bronze, 10 purple, 12 camel, 36 GREENgray,
8 rust, and 12 mustard.
The tassels at each end of the scarf are made of 8 inch lengths of wool
using all eight colors, then tied into a knot at the bottom, thus making
the finished tassels 3"-3 1/2" long.
