A little metaphysical love story about Janeway, Chakotay, animal guides, and healing. This story appeared in Now Voyager 15.
Because I refuse to believe in where canon is now, I choose another destiny for Janeway and Chakotay. I also wrote a joke introduction.
BRONZE STATUES--PG-13, written 2/99.
Paris shows up on the holodeck to play Captain Proton and finds Janeway posing for Da Vinci. Beware, J/Cers and P/Ters: I have strayed a bit from the path.
CAPTAIN MILLER'S STORY--PG-13, written 3/98.
An alternate universe take on "The Killing Game," or what might have happened if first-season Janeway and Chakotay stumbled into a fourth-season episode.
Chakotay's floating on air even though he's stranded in the Delta Quadrant with only a medicine bundle for company. This is set around the era of "The Cloud." There is an inferior sequel, "Overcast".
COFFEE TALK--PG-13, written 12/97.
Written with Laura Williams, appearing in Now Voyager 20. Since coffee is the only thing Voyager's producers will let Janeway get excited about, we let her get excited about it.
A little story set during "Scientific Method." I wasn't very nice to poor Kathryn, but then, neither was the episode.
DEMONIC POSSESION--PG-13, written 5/98.
And they lived happily ever after on the demon planet, without a care in the world. Mad cackling.
Chakotay tries to say no.
A near-death experience causes Janeway and Chakotay to discover how much they depend on one another.
A coda to "Coda," meaningless in series-time.
FUTURE'S END--PG, written 1/98.
A miserable but not entirely unlikely scenario about what's going to happen to Janeway and Chakotay in the future.
After discovering that Kira has been hiding the secrets of her past from him, Odo feels compelled to check up on her. This story appeared in Deep Spaces.
Following the events of "Coda," "Unity," and "Worst Case Scenario," Janeway has problems rerecording her last orders.
LEAVETAKING--PG, revised 10/95.
After decades of travel, Voyager is home, and Chakotay has one more person to say goodbye to before resigning from Starfleet.
LOVE TRAVELS--PG, written 7/99.
One of those obligatory "they got home and Chakotay dropped by to visit" stories.
MEANWHILE, 70,000 LIGHT YEARS AWAY--PG, written 3/95.
My early version of the DS9 reaction to Voyager's disappearance, featuring cameos by Admiral Paris and Mark.
MID-FLIGHT--PG, written 12/97.
A rambling, overlong five-part drama about Kathryn's affection for flying machines and holograms, and Chakotay's affection for Kathryn.
MORE MYSELF THAN I AM--PG, revised 4/96.
Written with Becca O. Janeway is running a holonovel of "Wuthering Heights" and makes some interesting changes in the characterization of Heathcliff.
NEXT TO WORST CASE SCENARIO--PG, written 5/97.
Tom and B'Elanna stumble onto some of Janeway's alternative changes to Seska's programming. Totally silly.
The inevitable one-time "this never happened" J/C scenario, with a very high romance quotient.
THE ONLY ONE--R, written 4/97.
B'Elanna's take on Janeway and Chakotay's relationship, and how she feels about it.
OUT OF TIME (REPEAT REFRAIN)--PG, written 1/97.
A post-"Coda" story, to bridge this episode with the rest of the season and the rest of the series.
A companion piece to "Cloudy", Janeway's side of the story. Highly acanonical, set during Voyager's early weeks in the Delta Quadrant.
Post-"Scorpion Part II," narrated by Chakotay. I hesitate to call this a J/C story.
A highly inconsequential third-season J/C fragment set on the holodeck.
Qs FROM THE MASTER--PG, posted 11/98.
At last, a dreaded "Q brings them together!" story.
How "Resolutions" started, in a rainstorm on New Earth. Written in response to a JetC3 challenge.
RESCUED LIFE--PG, posted 11/98.
A short response to "Timeless" from Tessa's point of view.
Chakotay talks about the nature of love with the Doctor.
A J/C story based very loosely on Tennyson's "The Lady of Shalott."
Pre-launch Janeway reveals her thoughts upon meeting Chakotay from seven years in her future. There, now I've covered all seven seasons in fan fiction and I can retire in peace.
SHOOTING PROTONS--R, written 2/99.
Paris reflects on the Janeway he saw in "Bride of Chaotica!"
The Captain and First Officer climb a mountain in search of dilithium, and every mountain climbing disaster story cliche befalls them.
THERE'S A PLACE FOR US--PG, written 3/97.
A very corny "Resolutions" love story. Contains kissing and off-key singing.
UNDER THE BOARDWALK--R, written 12/96.
A vignette set during the breaks in "Future's End, Part I," muddling what went on with Janeway and Chakotay between the end of the second season and the start of the third.
UNFORGIVABLE--PG-13, written 4/98.
I swore I wouldn't do this, but I had to get "Unforgettable" out of my system. And I think Chakotay did too, no matter what kind of a shallow jerk he's being on the series.
