The LAT link
LAT's cartoons provide a thoroughly believeable view of Malysian life and
politics. To me, as a 'Mat Saleh', LAT provides an invaluable guide to
Malaysian culture, expressed in a way mere words never could. Ever since
Angela, my wife, first read to me 'Budak Kampung' as a way of learning about
her culture I have been hooked, and we've been avid collectors ever since.
I can't say we have everything ever published under LAT's name, but we've
certainly enough to give us hours of enjoyment.
This is a list (which is by no means complete) of the LAT books we know
about. Those marked with an asterisk are part of our treasured collection.
Unfortunately, all the LAT cartoons I have are copyright, so I am not
able to reproduce any here. I recommend you get the books.
No Malaysian hot list should be without a link to LAT.
