The Girl Child From a Broken Home
This plight in India surfaces to unveil little girls and women living alone in shattered battered miserable conditions. The passive society hurls four letter words at them. PITY. But they long for love, care & affection.
RABITA in Bangalore, India, decided to care for these girls. It all started in 1993.
Currently 'Rabita'has rehabilitated 40 girls aged 4 to 16 years from broken homes. Their basic needs of education together with religious curriculum are a priority at Rabita.

Rabita's Wings
An Appeal To Care
Taking into consideration, the growing number of girl destitutes in Bangalore, we have invested in a new premises on Hennur Road.
The Proposed Project, Manahil School and Vocational Centre will costs Rs. 70 Lakhs.
And the activities to be undertaken are:
Construction of the building has already commenced and we find ourselves strapped for money.
We Need Your Help
Your help will enable these girls & children to live a better life like you & us.
The Rabita Action Team
The Rabita Action Team Consists of a group of women social workers, who are Professionals in their respective field. They have dedicated themselves to the Cause of uplifting & rehabilitating these girls & women.
“Social Service" is a difficult task, it requires tremendous amount of Patience, hard work & energy. But most of all, it involves the spirit of self sacrifice for the betterment of society, selfless humane approach towards the Problems of the destitute girls & women is imperative for reformation of the down trodden. The women of Rabita Action Team excel in their services.
The Problems Of Destitutes Emerges From Broken Homes
Society's determination to regard women as inferior to man made it an additional reason for this flawed concept having evolved and that was the failure to recognize the importance of home.
The work done within the home is therefore of prime importance. It takes greater gentleness and delicacy to run a home. But for the survival and progress of human civilization, feminine qualities are just as essential as masculine qualities which is why nature has cast men & women in very different moulds.
A blend of both characteristics will help ensure a healthy family life, which is necessary for the growth and development of every individual.

Our profound gratitude goes to God Almighty who alone has enabled us to do our wee bit in this phase of the history of, ‘Rabita'. A welfare group for women and children - And our gratitude goes out to all concerned.
Change is a sign of progress and there have been many changes to mark the progress of 'Rabita'.
An institution like ours has its progress inscribed in its collective heritage of the past years. The children of our boarding home 'Rifah' and 'Manahil School', our staff, members, patrons, friends and well-wishers are heirs to it.
In our little way we are trying to build a United Community called Rabita Welfare Group for Women and Children.
The aims and objectives of 'Rabita' are to shelter the destitute girl child to give her love, care and to educate her. We have a boarding home for them with caring staff. We have a school called Manahil School where these children study. One of our objectives in education is to make Manahil School a centre of Human Spiritual, Cultural and Academic formation.
Manahil School advocates a holistic approach to education for the blossoming of each child into what God wants her/him to become. This will be our field of exploration in the years to come.
With God's grace and blessings, we have strived to fulfil our objectives in education and our concern for the less fortunate Girl child. We want to awaken in her the happiness of being born a girl, soon to be a woman - the future mother of the future nation; It is mothers who build nations by the type of training which they give to their children. And education is the only answer.
Education awakens social consciousness, we want to teach these little future women to combine their natural gentleness, strength, intelligence and energy and set goals for themselves to reach out towards the galaxies of success.
We are glad to convey to you dear sisters and brothers our message of hope and optimism for the welfare and education of the poor girl child.
1998 has been another milestone in the - Journey of 'Rabita'. We have registered the land at Hennur in the name of; 'Rabita Welfare Group for Women' and completed the foundation work for the future building project of 'Rifah' boarding home and 'Manahil School'.
We would like to share with our patrons, friends and well wishers our thoughts and hopes for the future, which will not turn into reality, without their co-operation.
Central to all our efforts is the aim to provide the children of our 'Rifah' boarding home more and more amenities and it is with this in mind that we propose to build a bigger, brighter boarding home and school.
May we appeal to you respected sisters/brothers in the name of God, to help us in anyway you can to realise this worthy dream, which will benefit these poor children, present and future?
