BEGINNING BAND

Welcome to the Simons Middle School Beginning Band homepage. There will be two beginning bands this year at Simons. The instrumentation is as follows for both ensembles combined:
  • 5 Flutes
  • 3 Clarinets
  • 1 Bass Clarinet
  • 2 Alto Saxophones
  • 1 Tenor Saxophone
  • 1 Baritone Saxophone
  • 3 Trumpets
  • 1 Baritone
  • 2 Tubas
  • 8 Percussion

    • We are currently using Essential Elements for Band, Book 1 as our method book. Throughout the year we will supplement the method book with other literature.
