It's hard to overestimate the effect Schoolhouse Rock had on anyone who was a child between 1973 and 1985. Forty-one three-minute educational cartoons set to original songs, they were the original music videos, and they taught countless kids the difference between adjectives ("Unpack Your Adjectives") and adverbs ("Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, Get Your Adverbs Here"), how to multiply ("Three Is a Magic Number"), basic principles of science ("Do the Circulation," "Interplanet Janet"), and American civics ("I'm Just a Bill," "The Preamble"). All of the original songs are here, plus four Money Rock songs--"Dollars and Sense" and "Where the Money Goes" are as classic as any of the original standouts--and four tracks from the short-lived Scooter Computer & Mr. Chips series (which, unlike the rest of the Schoolhouse Rock songs, can be dated by the proto-new-wave-influenced instrumentation). Quincy Jones' 1978 musical film directed by Sidney Lumet (The Pawnbroker, Serpico) is a vibrant and entertaining retelling of the Wizard of Oz. A small-town girl is transported to a magical world where the battle between good and evil gives the real world a sense of perspective. Cast includes: Nipsey Russell, Ted Ross, Mabel King, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor as The Wiz.

The Last Unicorn is a delightful movie cartoon starring Alan Arkin. "Set in the time of Robin Hood, this pleasing animated fable tells of the adventures of a beautiful white unicorn who enters a forest in search of others of its kind. The weakest element: those bland, forgettable Jimmy Webb songs. Scripted by Peter S. Beagle, and based on his novel."

"An Innocent Strong Heart This is a lovely film that tells the tale of Ms. Brisby (yes...a mouse), who through the strenth of her heart and the purity of her spirit saves not only the lives of her family, but the lives of her friends as well."

Great for ages 2-5. "good wholesome movie My kids love the land before time series and I think it is one of the last good movies out there for kids. They are very innocent adventures that do not deal with killing or bad guys in general. I find the series a refreshing change of pace. "

Action, "Excellent The cast of this movie were great and it great for anyone that is a Power Rangers fan and the sound effects were amazing but the video could have lasted a little longer than what it have said. Overall, the movie was excellent."

The Fall of Freddie Leaf Leo Buscalia, change of seasons ages 4-9. This is a great book in itself. If the issue should touch your doorstep, this is also a wonderful story to explain the mystery of death to a child.
