Synopsis:
Three friends with
complicated names
and rather exotic,
color-coordinated pets
illustrated the value
of pronouns whether
in the jungle or on a bus.
On a pogo stick, Rufus
and his kangaroo bounce
along in orange; Rafaella
wears springs on her feet
to keep up with her
matching pink aardvark;
and Albert (our narrator),
in his yellow wardrobe,
is the perfect match for
his yellow rhino.
Trivia:
Lew Gifford's bold designs and
bright colors make this a graphic
delight. Enjoy watching the "elas-
ticity" of the bus when the animals
crowd aboard.
Kathy Mandry was a copywriter
at McCaffrey and McCall when she
wrote the lyrics to this tune. She
was also a children's book author,
and thus a natural to try her hand
at educational song writing.
