The Publications Page
for Jean P. Lindsay

This page has links for all of my web publications so far. Some of these are web pages, while others are Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files. They are listed in basic chronologic order.

All of these writings are free for your perusal; however, due credit to this source should be given if you use the material in any way. Do it not because anyone is looking over your shoulder, but because it's the right thing to do.

The Anonymous Valesianus and the Demise of Boethius
This is a rather old paper actually, but it's making its first appearance here. Alas, you'll have to read it to find out what it's about. In PDF format.
John Romer Resource Page
This page is my primary and long-term scholarly endeavor. Romer is a British Egyptologist whose award-winning documentaries have enlightened many viewers. His films are masterworks, with excellence in editing, locations, and music.
Comparison for A310 Egyptian Art
This is a comparison which I wrote for my class with Prof. Eleanor Scheifele in the summer of 1997. It's a textbook example of my exemplary compare-and-contrast essay skill!
The Mausoleum of Theoderic the Ostrogoth
This page contains a PDF file of my paper for A575 Research Sources in Art History in the fall of 1997 with IU Fine Arts librarian Betty Jo Irvine. It includes some images of the building.
Review: Heinrich Wölfflin's Principles of Art History
This is the book review I wrote for A500 Historiography of Western Art with Prof. W. Eugene Kleinbauer. In PDF format.
Marxist Art History
My first official attempt at lecturing was delivering this paper. It is an overview of two articles by Walter Benjamin and Meyer Schapiro. In PDF format.
Gianlorenzo Bernini's Blessed Ludovica Albertoni: The Agony and the Ecstasy
Here is my final paper project for A500 Historiography of Western Art. In PDF format.
