The Episcopal Peace Fellowship
The Episcopal Peace Fellowship is a body within the church whose mission is to aid and encourage all Episcopalians to strive for justice and peace among all people and to bear nonviolent witness to Christ's call to peace. As a community we are dedicated to discovering and practicing the biblical concept of peace. This Shalom/Salaam includes a commitment to renounce, so far as possible, participation in war and other forms of violence. The EPF recognizes that there can be no peace without a commitment to justice, and no justice without reconciliation. Thus, the EPF endeavors to develop within the Church a community of Christians pledged to peace, justice, reconciliation, and non-violence.
The Fellowship of Reconciliation
We envision a world of justice, peace, and freedom. It is a revolutionary vision of a beloved community where differences are respected, conflicts are addressed nonviolently, oppressive structures are dismantled, and where people live in harmony with the earth, nurtured by diverse spiritual traditions that foster compassion, solidarity, and reconciliation. FOR seeks to replace violence, war, racism, and economic injustice with nonviolence, peace, and justice. We are an interfaith organization committed to active nonviolence as a transforming way of life and as a means of radical change. We educate, train, build coalitions, and engage in nonviolent and compassionate actions locally, nationally, and globally.
The War Resisters League
War Resisters League centers its work on education and action. Education involves publishing pacifist literature, including a magazine, The Nonviolent Activist, and the annual Peace Calendar. Our emphasis is on action, war resistance and individual conscience. WRL organizes demonstrations, cooperates in coalition with other peace and justice groups, opposes conscription and all forms of militarism including ROTC, and supports men and women who resist the military at all levels.
The Orthodox Peace Fellowship of the Protection of the Mother of God
An association of Orthodox Christians belonging to different nations and jurisdictions trying to live the peace of Christ in day-to-day life, including situations of division and conflict. They publish a quarterly journal, In Communion, and provide other resources for individuals and parishes.
The Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America
The purpose of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America is to unite and enable Baptist Christians to make peace in our warring world. They are called by God to the Gospel of Peace.
This calling is rooted in faith in Jesus Christ, who is Peace, in whom God is reconciling the world and through whom God calls us to the ministry of peacemaking. Peace is not only their goal, but their means. The foundation of peace is justice. The force of peace is love.
Pax Christi USA: National Catholic Peace Movement
Pax Christi USA strives to create a world that reflects the Peace of Christ by exploring, articulating, and witnessing to the call of Christian nonviolence. This work begins in personal life and extends to communities of reflection and action to transform structures of society. Pax Christi USA rejects war, preparations for war, and every form of violence and domination. It advocates primacy of conscience, economic and social justice, and respect for creation.
Pax Christi USA commits itself to peace education and, with the help of its bishop members, promotes the gospel imperative of peacemaking as a priority in the Catholic church in the United States. Through the efforts of all its members and in cooperation with other groups, Pax Christi USA works toward a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world.
The Nonviolence Web
The Nonviolence Web began in 1995 by dragging some of the U.S.'s most dynamic peace groups online, providing them with free webmastering and hosting. We continue in the spirit of this work, featuring their hard-to-find and under-publicized sites and articles. The Jewish Peace Fellowship
Jewish Peace Fellowship is a Jewish voice in the peace community and a peace voice in the Jewish community. We are a nondenominational Jewish organization committed to active nonviolence as a means of resolving conflict, drawing on Jewish traditional sources within the Torah, the Talmud and contemporary peacemaking sages like Martin Buber, Judah Magnes and Abraham Joshua Heschel. The M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence
The Mission of the Gandhi Institute is to promote and apply the principles of nonviolence locally, nationally, and globally, to prevent violence and resolve personal and public conflicts through research, education, and programming. The Institute, founded by Arun Gandhi (the Mahatma's grandson) and his wife Sunanda, was established to promote and teach the philosophy and practice of nonviolence to help reduce the violence that consumes our hearts, our homes, and our societies.
