Friends & Family

"We need others. We need to be loved by them.
Without them, we too, like the infant left alone,
would choose madness and death."
- Leo Buscaglia

Neil Bryson
Neil became of a friend of mine here at SUNY Potsdam, where he was a year ahead of me. Neil studied music education at the Crane School. This site contains some stuff on music, musicals and music education.
Michael Y. Hsie
One of my best friends from high school was Michael Hsie, who was the student speaker at out graduation. Mike went off to SUNY Buffalo to study Biochemistry (better him than me! Ha!) and also spent a semester studying philosophy at the University of Oxford (making me most jealous). Mike, in addition to being a great pal of mine, is a fellow Anglican. Viva Cantuar!
The Rev. Fr. Richard Laribee
I first met Father Laribee when he was the pastor of a Baptist Church in town. Father Laribee has been helprful in my own spiritual journey as well as being influential in my decision to continue to pursue philosophy rather than transfer and switch to theology while still an undergraduate.
Alice "Ki-Ki" Lin
Alice was a friend of mine in high school, where we took ceramics together. Her artistic talent was, of course, far more excellent than mine. After our high school graduation she moved to Illinois to attend the University of Chicago where she majored in Computer Science. She's an outstanding artist and graphic designer. This website contains her resume, a portfolio of her work and a bunch of other information.
Theodore Love
Ted was one of my two freshman college roommates and later became a good philosophy buddy of mine. Ted now is studying Philosophy of Education at the University of Toronto.
Kenyon Mackey
Kenyon is my biological brother who is a ceramics major in the B.F.A. program at New Mexico State University. This page is old and hasn't been updated in a while, but still gives some idea of who he is.
Travis O'Donnell
Travis O'Donnell was a friend of mine back in school, as well. We met on the set of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit where we both worked back-stage. He, like myself, has a bizar sense of humor, and perhaps one of the reasons we get along pretty well is that we both dig the folk music scene.
Tony Parcero
Tony Parcero is one of my college fraternity brothers. He's a phenominal poet and some of his work is located on this site. At SUNY Potsdam he majored in English and Psychology or something like that. Maybe Spanish. I don't know. He also knew German, I think. All-around, Tony's one of the coolest people I've ever met in my life.
Wes & Helen Storm
Mr. & Mrs. Storm are friends of my family that we know from when we lived in New Hartford, New York. Mr. Storm is the archivist for Grace Church, Utica, NY and both Mr. & Mrs. Storm are big into the music of Charles Wesley.

You can keep in touch with old friends, too, at Classmates.Com
