It matters notS.C.Jones
It matters not, your general impression.
I've said it all more for me than you.
My life has left no great expression,
yet I've come to see all things clear in view.
I've lived aging years now in digression,
and have come to understand my reason, yours too.
Should my existence come to one final confession,
I will say it with all my inner fiber - "be true".
It matters not the role we play or who we are.
We go alone seeking our way, life's battles fought.
Whether we be the poorest beggar or the richest Czar,
we journey our road with an equal right and lot.
When days close and voyages end near and far,
then all things will reveal that which sought.
My world then begins, and nothing here shall mar,
when I've found my peace, then I know, it matters not.
It matters not
