H&R Block after their negative appearance on David Letterman . . .

Subject: Re: David Letterman

Unfortunately, our employee overreacted when a crew from the David
Letterman show recently stopped by one of our New York offices.  We
do have a sense of humor and will not tolerate ill treatment of people
dressed as bunnies or dogs.  In fact, we're fine with lions, tigers and
bears, too.

In the company's defense, it is important to note this is the busiest time
of year for our offices.  We have a lot of confidential information in each
office, and the safety of our customers and employees is a top priority.
When anyone, especially someone wearing a costume, unexpectedly
enters a store and adjusts the blinds, it causes alarm.

Again, we were embarrassed by the incident and hope you'll give us
a break this time.  We assure you that bunnies will be welcome in
our offices in the future.

Sincerely,

Linda McDougall
