<_Cassiopia_> One thing that you can do in ritual to improve your relationship is to do a Goddess- only ritual.
<_Cassiopia_> This can be as simple as a full-moon candleburning, or as complex as an elaborate, staged Goddess worship.
<_Cassiopia_> But the important thing is to try to attune with the Goddess-energy around you.
<_Cassiopia_> So many people coming from Xian religions have a hard time with the Goddess, not having had any relationship with her in the past.

<_Cassiopia_> This going back solely to the Goddess, even for a little while, can help erase all the anti-woman sentiments that are built up in the psyche and make a more balanced worship easier to accomplish.
<_Cassiopia_> Another way, best for the solitary or the eclectic, is to do some research.

<_Cassiopia_> Looking for the right goddess makes it easier for you to relate to her.

<_Cassiopia_> If that's how you relate to her best, that's great! I don't use a goddess's name all the time, myself. Most of the time, she's just "The Goddess" in whatever form I need her.....

<_Cassiopia_> The next thing to discuss is the goddess in your everyday life.
<_Cassiopia_> It's important to think of her, if you want to improve your relationship, more than just at Esbats and Sabbats.
<_Cassiopia_> One way to do it is to consider the lunar cycle. Be aware of it all the time.
<_Cassiopia_> If you are aware of the cycle intimately, if you don't need an almanac or a calendar to know what phase of the moon it is that night, you are going to be more concerned with Her, and therefore have a beter relationship.
<_Cassiopia_> Another is to learn about life cycles, birth, maturity, death. If you look at them, there is something important to learn from everything.
<_Cassiopia_> The Goddess rules birth, sexual development and death. By learning as much as you can about those cycles, you are learning about the Goddess, and helping yourself relate better.
<_Cassiopia_> Now exercises for everyone are simple..... just go outside on a full moon, light a cnadle, and have a chat with the Goddess.
<_Cassiopia_> But there are things that men and women can do to help themselves get in tune with the Goddess.
<_Cassiopia_> First for women (which is a bit easier....)
<_Cassiopia_> Women need to know all the can about their bodies and the energies that move in them.
<_Cassiopia_> Women are the living embodiment of the Goddess, as men are the living embodiment of the God.
<_Cassiopia_> By learning about yourself, about your body, your needs and desires, you learn about the Goddess.
<_Cassiopia_> By learning about the Goddess, you make it easier to call on her, and improve your relationship.
<_Cassiopia_> Also learning about the cycles around you, about the way that other women cycle through life, and the way that all things move, you will learn about the Goddess.
<_Cassiopia_> That's the basic theme of the evening: Learn about Her, and you can relate better to her.
<_Cassiopia_> For men, it's harder to relate to the Goddess. Many men don't even try. They stick to the God.

<_Cassiopia_> But just as every woman has a masculine side, every man has a feminine side. By refusing to have a relationship with the Goddess, men are denying half of themselves, and making it harder for them to relate to any women in their lives.

<_Cassiopia_> For men, things ARE harder. but by learning about women's cycles, and being sensitive to the changes every woman goes through in her cycles, you not only help improve your relationship with the women, but with the GOddess.
<_Cassiopia_> Men have cycles of hormones, too. The changes aren't as drastic, but they ARE happening.
<_Cassiopia_> Also by learning as much as possible about the different stages of life that all women go through, men can improve their relationships, with Goddess and with loved ones.

does the goddess usally talk to people how rare is it
<_Cassiopia_> Sunwitch.... if you talk to her all the time, she'll talk to you all the time. It may not be a "Yes, you're doing this right" thing, it may be subtle. But the goddess doesn't ignore what you do and sya, and it may just be a gentle mental nudge once in a while, to tell you what to do next.
