BIO

Zappha is a writer/illustrator and art therapist. She draws from experience in adult education, public relations, theatre, and the arts.

Zappha’s academic studies include Fine Arts, Philosophy, Comparative Religion Women’s Studies and Adult Education at the University of Western Ontario, University of Michigan and St. Francis Xavier University. Upon completion of these studies she taught creative arts courses at the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College in London Ontario.

Zappha’s own spiritual quest has taken her to such places as Guatemala, Mexico, England, Ireland, Wales and Europe as well as extensive travel in North America. Indigenous native cultures and Celtic traditions were experienced and explored in depth.

Exposure to various cultures combined with theatre experience led Zappha to explore ritual and ceremony in depth and provided her with the incentive to make this an intrinsic part of her own reality.

In 1980, Zappha had formulated a method of sharing her wealth of transformational studies, the culmination and blending of her learning experiences, into a workshop format. She now uses these workshops in her capacity as an art therapist.
