APTAVACHANS

Selected Words from The Akram Vignani ...Dadashri ...A. M. Patel

The Gnani who opened the Way of Instant Moksha in 1958.

The Two types of knowledge..Gnan:

First kind shows you what is right or wrong in this world. What is beneficial and what is not. This is also called Vyavahar Gnan or Sansaar Gnan

Second kind is the knowledge of liberation..Moksha Gnan or Atma Gnan

With Moksha Gnan , Vyavahar Gnan automatically follows because he now has divine vision ! With these" mortal eyes " true understanding of reality is not possible. With divya drashti -divine vision- the real religion is understood.

Definition of religion -dharma:

The one that brings results.

That which brings forth meaningful decrease in anger, false pride, false attachment, greed, passions, and ultimately annihilates these evils is the true dharma.

Two types of religion:

Relative and Real religions.

Relative religion is the dharma of thoughts, speech and action. Real religion means the religion of the Self-Swadharma - Atmadharma.

Jainism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism are all relative religions.

Real religion is found only in the heart of The Gnani. It does not exist anywhere else.

Two types of paths :

Kramic and Akram. Kramic path is the relative path. Relative path leads to all material benefits in life and in the process it leads to liberation very slowly-step by step. Through penance and renunciation the ego gradually cleanses itself from the impurities of anger, pride, illusion, greed, passions and only then the entrance to liberation is reached !The ego is continually under the sense of doership, until the final time of liberation.

Whereas here in Akram path, Gnani Purush purifies your ego and thereafter you come to experience your real Self -Swaroop. Thereafter your work is done. You have crossed the gates to the world of the Enlightened.

The traffic laws of these two paths state that while travelling-living life-do not collide with anyone. If you do, you will be hurt. There is danger in collision with anyone. These relative vyavahar dharmas also tell you to avoid giving or causing hurt of anykind to any being. If you seek happiness, distribute happiness.

Real dharma-religion exists in the natural state of the Self-Swa-bhaavik-dharma. Eternal bliss is its nature. Real religion starts after acquisition of Atma Gnan through the Gnani and thereafter it establishes its own progression to liberation . Whereas relative religion requires learning methods and doership.

All religions are true but not equal. In their own "standard" they are true and correct. Relative religions provide material happiness and Real religion leads to Moksha.

The true definition of religion means to revert to the natural state-swa-goona-dharma. When is gold called gold? When it obviously becomes gold and behaves as gold. When a thing-matter-vastu- reverts to its natural swa-bhaav state it is said to be in its dharma.

Acceptance of the non-self anatma as "I "is the religion of the non-self, pardharma, dehadhyas. This is not real religion -swadharma. Acceptance of the Self atma as the Self, is vastu, is swadharma, is religion of the Self-Atmadharma.

Dharmadhyan, the path of the relative religions is for the one who finds happiness in this worldly life-sansaar.

Shukladhyan the natural dhyan of the Self- is for the one who finds no meaningful happiness in this worldly life !

Artadhyan and Raudradhyan increase sansaar, worldly life wanderings. Dharmadhyan decrease sansaar. Shukladhyan liberates.

Suffering caused to others is raudradhyan. Suffering resulting within is artadhyan. Bliss and happiness caused to others is dharmadhyan. Knowledge of the Real nature of things..Tattva Drashti is shukladhyan.

Dharmadhyan displaces artadhyan and raudradhyan.

Good karmas is an illusion, and bad karmas is also an illusion. The progression from bad to good is beneficial but the illusion remains. True religion only commences after illusion leaves.

Real religion does not exist where there is virtue poonya and vice paap. Real dharma exists beyond vice and virtue.

Illusion-bhranti means accepting as mine what is not mine-parbhaav. Someone else is the doer and the beleif that "I am the doer " is illusion. Bondage of karmas- for future lives-is through this sense of doership.

" I am Chandulal " is karma !

Karma are not yours if you are Gnani. Karma are yours if you are agnani-ignorant.

Neither the pudgala- present physical body- is the doer of karma, nor atma is the doer of karma. The ego that arises in the presence of the Atma is the doer of karma. By relative viewpoint atma is the doer of karma. By real viewpoint atma is the doer of the karma of the Self- swabhaav karma.

It is not necesary to realise that " I am not the doer." The awakening, "I am PureSoul" naturally dissolves the sense of doership !

The three batteries of thought, speech and action are "discharging"from birth till death . New batteries are also "charging"-for the next life-in the agnan- ignorant state. Thus charge- cause and discharge -effect cycle carries on life after life.

What ever is discharging...if one is attached to it..raag results and if one is repelled ..dwesh results. Raag, dwesh and agnan are the main causes and result of this world.

What is Purusharth ? Getting up early, running around in the world, being successful, helping the needy ? No. All that is prarabdha-destiny. All that is egotism. The ego is doing it and he thinks he is the doer. Without becoming a Purush-the Real self- how can purusharth commence ? Gnani Purush sets the aim and knowledge of the The Unknowable and thereafter purusharth commences.

Real purusharth commences after meeting The Gnani .

Prarabdha means unfolding of events in life. These depend on the nature of the charging karma in past life. For "You " to "observe" what "Bill" is doing , is real purusharth. For "You" to be involved in the feelings-bhaav- of what "Bill" is doing is illusion-relative-bhrant purusharth. Feelings intervene in bhrant purusharth and real purusharth is to know, observe and experience eternal bliss gnyata-drashta-paramanand.

The true Sishya -disciple is the one whose entire bliss is directed to the bliss of the Master- Guru. The only guru worth having is the One who is enlightened. Other types of gurus will help in pointing the way. Only a Gnani Purush liberates. A Gnani is one who does not need to learn or know any more. The One who is eternally established in the Original Tattvaswaroop-elemental pure Self state. Gurus of the world lead to worldly happiness, but are not able to liberate you from upaadhi- externally induced troubles, whereas The Gnani Purush bestows samadhi-eternal bliss even as you move through events in life of aadhi-mental suffering, vyaadhi-physical suffering and upaadhi-externally induced sufferings.

The Gnani Purush is known where there is no desire for money, fame, disciples, or sex. Absolute desirelessness leads to the State of the Gnani.

The Saint-sadhu is known when the passions of anger, greed, illusion and pride are under control-saiyam and these passions are basically nonviolent towards other beings. The one who is striving towards the Self-Atmadasha is a saint.

Who is a sannyasi ? The one who lives a worldly life in which he is not in parbhaav-feeling of mine-my life. Being in swapareenati-in the state of the Self is a sannyasi. Where swapareenati has commenced but not become complete is also a sannyasi.

Do anything you want in this worldly -sansaar-life, lie if you wish. But do not talk about dharma-religion with kashayas-passions of anger, greed, illusion, and sex. This will surely bind you towards hell.

Mokshmarg-The Path to liberation remains to be understood. The pudgal-the physical body that takes in and takes out, is involved in the doership of swadhyaya-study of the Self, tapas-penance etc. What is gained from that ? What ever is done without a fundamental change of mula drashti-main vision results in further bondage.

Mokshmarg, the path of The Enlightened is absolutely natural and simple, without any kriyas-rituals or doership, without any effort, or strain. In this path there is nothing to renounce-tyaga, no penances to perform, no japa mantras to recite. These rituals will bind you for more sansaar. For mokshamarg Gnan, darshan, charitra and tapa happen naturally.
