This is the site of the "Worlds Best Pagan Magazine"(according to me). There is a lot of information about subscriptions and advertising, as well as a comprehensive Table Of Contents. We also hope to get a link to my site where there will be information about all the networking options we now have available.
This is the homepage of Shanem and Tamara, as well as the page for the H.S.A. There is information about the Festival, a great selection of links, some very nice clip art, and some information about Shanem and Tamara also.
The first page of this site, aside from the awe inspiring photo, seems very plain and it looks as if there is not much here. It simply states the name of the organization, their "motto" and has four links, "Past|Present|Future (and) Awards and Credits". It is only when you look into these links that you find a wealth of information about C.S. In the Past, you find a complete list of all the milestones in the life of C.S., from 1974 when Circle was founded through today. In the Present, you will find info about the current festivals and happenings, as well as links to the Lady Liberty League, Circle Network News Journal and the Sanctuary Circle's Newsletter. In the Future, you find information about seasonal festivals and upcoming Sanctuary Days.
This page, like the one above, has a doorway that you must enter as well. When you first access this page you simply get a CAW logo that you must click to get to the page. Once you get there you get the same logo, but when you scroll down, you realize that this is a very well organized page with a Table of Contents and other interesting information. This page has a lot links to places that seem to be excerpts from their handbook, links to other Pagan websites and The Green Egg online, too.

SERENA’S TOP TENPAGAN SITES ON THE WEB FALL 97 |

http://www.oocities.org/Athens/3038
Online classes in all sorts of subjects like Spellworking, Wicca 101, Tarot, and my favorite is not a class but a sort of "support group" if you will, Pagan Singles. The classes correspond to commonly used books and there is homework assigned. The classes used to be totally free except for the book (which you don't have to have, but it is highly recommended) but she now has a charge for each and every class. Most of the charges are reasonable, but you will have to take that into consideration when chosing classes. If you already have the book or can borrow it form a friend, you are home free. If you don't have the book you can wing it, go to your favorite store or you can order it online, and through secured channels, from Pandora herself. This page has lots of other great qualities but I didn't feel right awarding her all the honors so you will just have to check it out yourself.

This is a place where you can leave you own ad or respond to the ads that others have left. It is well organized by state and the newest ads are the ones toward the bottom.
http://www.cascade.net/arachnemisc.html
This page has over 900 links to Pagan pages all over the web. They are neatly organized by topic. If you are looking for something Pagan, make this your first stop.
http://www.primenet.com/~cherie/pgnbest/pgnbest.html
This is a page that has taken my little idea here a giant leap forward. It takes a lot to be listed in The Pagan Best of the Web and they only update their list 4 times a year so as of yet I haven't gotten the honor but I'm hoping.

I chose this magazine because of a few different reasons. One is that it can be delivered directly to your e mail for free or you can order a hard copy and for a fee they will send it you anywhere in the world. Of all the e zines I looked at, only 3 or 4 had the option of sending the magazine to your e mail and doing so for free. The other big plus for this magazine is the fact that is has some very informative articles. Everything from recipes to well written articles detailing the mythology and ancient stories of some of the Gods and Goddesses from around the world. The same person who I listed as creator of my "Best Online Classes" page creates this e zine. I honestly tried to find another person so that I didn't duplicate people but after hours of searching, I couldn't find anyone who has a better e zine.

This page is still in progress but it looks to be a very good and informative page. What is Witchcraft, Wiccan Studies, Magickal Almanac, Color Magick, Gemstones, Herbs, Oils and Incense, Tarot, God / Goddess Studies, Spells and Spell Crafting, and Suggested Reading are just some of the topics covered at this all encompassing site. They also have plans for more things to come. Please check it out, you won't be sorry.

This Page wins this category by the shear number of pages they have linked over 350 sites. None of the other circles even come close!
http://www.oocities.org/Athens/Acropolis/9059/
This site was created by a very articulate 15 year old girl and is well written and surprisingly informative. I recommend this page for all teen age witches and parents of said witches. I think we all have a lot to learn from this young woman who makes no bones about telling it like it is.
http://www.pagan.net/~jaz/pparent/index.html
This site has lots of links to everything from Home Schooling and Pagan Parents Rights to Kids Webweaving and a Pagan Mailing List for Kids. This page will be an invaluable resource to those of you trying to raise your kids in the Pagan religion. Also, be sure to check out the link to The Megan Stories. They are written from the point of view of an 8 year old child just discovering Paganism with the help of her mother.
http://www.oocities.org/Athens/Acropolis/5066/wicca.html
I chose this site because it has a lot of different information on it about Wicca. It is a great place for the beginner to go as well as the crones of our community. I found a wonderful piece about secrecy and printed it to give to my sister who recently "outed" me to my brother because she didn't know any better. It is a very well written site and the information is written in a very kind manner.

BOOKS OF SHADOWSWINTER 97 |
![]() |
http://www.cyberconnect.com/liedel/page2index.htm
This site was written for the intermediate Pagan and done in the style of a teacher speaking to her student. Her site is not merely a set of notes. She takes the time to make comments on things and explain what she says so that you may learn and not just “borrow her notes. It is not the same to say that Hecate is a good goddess for Samhain to someone who is learning, you have to tell them why. That is what Elfry has done with her whole site, not just the Book of Shadows. She has an extensive section on Tarot, a Grimoire, a section on Magick, and she looks at the circle of the year. In addition, there is some poetry and an editorial type of essay that gives good advise on handling religions attacks.
http://home.rmci.net/idahopyro/
This is a great Book of Shadows for the new to intermediate student. This site breaks down the items included in most books and is very comprehensive. It deals with The Rede, The Charge, tools, herbs, oils, candle magick, crystals, casting the circle, calling the quarters, rituals, and other basic information that is essential to any complete Book. The material is presented in a surprisingly detailed and organized manner making use of an unusual outline menu that I have never seen, on a web page before.
http://www.oocities.org/Athens/8526/spells.htm
Although this site has a lot of duplicated information, it excels in one important area, Spells. I loaded this page expecting the same 10-15 spells that everyone else has on their pages, and you can imagine my surprise when I saw 75 spells! They range from the basics of dedication, and protection, through invocations to different deities, to conjuring spirits and dealing with the stressed emotions from childhood. Most of the spells range from 1/2 to 1 page in length and they are easy to read and follow. This is definitely a site to keep in mind.

This is an alphabetical listing of the festivals I previewed. Due to length, the actual list is on a different page. To get there, Click here. These are festivals that, for the most part, are close to the heartland as The Rune is a heartland based magazine.
