Our school has a MacIntosh computer lab with a variety of educational software. Some that my kids really enjoy include: Reader Rabbit, Math Rabbit, The Electric Coloring Book, KidPix, Preschool Pack, Tommy the Time Turtle, Coin Changer and Reading Maze. My favorite use of the "Mac Lab" was using Kid Pix to create a slide show for Grandparent's Day. Each child drew a picture of themselves and their grandparents doing something they liked to do using the KidPix program. Then I put their work on a disk and loaded it into the Mac in our classroom and we put together the slide show. The kids recorded their voices explaining their picture and chose a transition for their picture. We projected the slide show onto a screen using an optical data projector. It was really cute!
