.....These three photos are circ 1957 and were taken at the Okey and Edna King home probably at Thanksgiving or around Christmas. A teenage Carol is shown here with her father Vernon Stone (1918-1983) and mother, Ethel Livingstone Stone ( 1918-1974). In the third photo is her brother Vernon Wayne (1945).

Carol Stone, along with her brother Wayne, was one of my closest first cousins and friend. I would like to take this space to offer a tribute to her. The three of us spent many happy ours together as young folks and created a lot of happy memories.Pictured here as an adult at the Stone Cemetery after Uncle John Sayre's bural sercice, I captured her as she usually was. In September of 1997, Carol died of lung cancer. Although in deep sorrow, I found myself with the responsibilty of having her service at the cemetery. As we were playing as children, we would never have dreamed that I would be doing that. Carol, I miss you very much.
