Some West Virginia Covered Bridges

One of several old covered bridges in the Monroe Greenbrier County Area, Indian Creek Bridge is just a few miles south of Union on scenic U.S. Route 219.

This is the Locust Covered Bridge which is a rural road just south of Denmar in Pocahontas County. Just a short distance upstream from the bridge, Locust Creek bursts out of Droop Mountain side a full fledged stream. Actually the stream is formed far beyone the other side Droop as if emerges from from another underground passage. The stream is known by another name on the West side of Droop Mountain.

.....This a detail of an old photo that shows the old bridge at Ronceverte. The replacement of this bridge has now been replaced. The same can be said for the bridge at Caldwell.
