.....This next series of photgraphs were taken in August, 2005 at the home of sister and Brother-in-law Eugene and Imelda "Midge" Wolfe. Their home is on Aarons Fork about six miles west of Elkview, West Virginia. We were enjoyning a mini King Reunion.

.....This is William "Bill" Spurlock. He and Betty have been married quite a few years now, but I don't recall just how many. His first wife passed away. Bill is descended from folks from Monroe, Summers, and Boune Counties. Both Bill and Bettt are devout Christians.

........................................
.....This is my wife Carolyn Ann Grimes. She is a 13 year survivor of breast cancer. Carolyn is a devoted GNAS. That is a fancy CNA with a lot of extra training. She is probably the best i n the state, and she is loved by those she takes care of. She was born July 31, 1945.

He enjoys going to Camp Meeting evvery year at Dublin, Virginia. He is an acomplished hunter and can track dear and tell the gender of a deer by smell with the best of them. He can tell you what the deer is by the smell and the tracks. He has surpassed most adult hunters.

.....................................

..........................
.....This is the Alederson Oriole baseball team. They only lost one game on route to winning the County Championship. The went on to win the section in Allstars, but lost in the regional when some of the parents went on vacation and the team did not have enough players. The man in the upper left is my son-in-law David Price.

.....While the boys were playing baseball, Mia was sliding on the slide. She never paid much attention to the games.

Jonathan on his fancy chopper bike.

....During Camp Meeting 2005, we had to bring Jonathan back home so he could playing the County tournament. On the way back, we stopped at Hanging Rock high atop Peter's Mountain. This is a hawk observiory. It is one of best overlooks in the state. But, the day we were there in 2005, the clouds were on the mountain and their was no view to be seen.

.................................... ......................Jonathan had his hair cut in a mohawk for this past football season.

This is Jonathan's last little league football photo. It is trimmed with his team's colors.

.....We recently had a tragedy in West Virgina in which a nine year-old boy shot and killed his twelve year-old brother. The obit for the boy said that he was an avid hunter and loved to play football. That obit could have fit Jonathan. Jonathan has been an avid hunter since he was small. I have tried to stress gun saftey the same as it was stressed to me. When hunting close to the house, all guns had to be unloaded before we reached the yard. There is no excuse not to do so. The photo below shows Jon hunting tree rats down in the hollow below our house. The shotgun is mine, I was given the mossberg bolt-action 12 guage for Christmas when I was fifteen.

.....This photo is of Jon's face after he had bagged his first dear with a bow. He practiced and practieced before he went. He is a perfectionest and only a near perfect shot would do. He had to shoot through a very small hole in the branches to get his deer.

...................This is Jon's 2008 school football photo.

.....Jon weighs more than I do now. He is palying football this year for the Estern Greenbrier Middle School Knights.

........../

.....Jon, Carolyn, and I went on a trip with her nursing home group this month to Kingss Dominion. King's Dominion is for young folks. I like the trip we made last year to Dollywood.

............................

.....Jon wrestled this year for the first time. Because of inexpierence, and wrestling much bigger opponits, he lost 8 out of his first 15 matches. He finished the season by winning 25 and losing 18 including two third place and one 2nd place finish. The season included trips to Huntington and to Parkersburg. You can see the balck eye he received at the Parkersburg tourniment.
