Ta'afulisia Kalepo Tilo was born in Aua, American Samoa on March 16,1933. The 5th eldest child of 10 children (7 brothers, 3 sisters) born to Mr. Kalepo Tilo Sr. and Mrs. Masele Eliga.
A 1951 Graduate of Marist High School, he left American Samoa in 1952 and joined the United States Marines. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps 4 years (1952-1955) until the age of 22. After serving in the Marines, he worked at Bethlehem Steel Company in South San Francisco from 1956-66.
At the age of 25, Mr. Tilo surrendered his life and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
In 1964, Mr. Tilo was called by God and Ordained a Pastor. The first Church that Rev. Tilo Pastored was established in a humble basement in San Francisco, and was dedicated on February 12, 1965.
On October 3, 1966, the Voice of Christ Full Gospel Church, Inc. was registered in Sacramento under the laws of the State of California and Rev. T.K. Tilo as the Founder of this Organization.
In March of 1967, Pastor Tilo and his family returned to American Samoa through Prophesy. The Lord spoke, "I will send you among your people in my own time. But wait upon me and seek my face, pray much and learn more of me, I want to equip you by my Power to do my work. I will bless you, the more you walk softly and humbly before me that's how much more I will use you, ask of my anointing then will I do great and mighty things in your mists. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will give you a sign and let you know exactly my time for you to go. When you feel a strong urge inside of you wanting to go then know it's me pushing you and speaking to you - GO."
From 1972 to 1983, Pastor Tilo worked in the Immigration Office of the American Samoa Government. In 1983, Pastor Tilo resigned from the Immigration Office to work full time in the Ministry.
In 1971, a Vision from the Lord was given to a sister who was visiting from Oakland, California. In her vision she saw a Bible Training School being built in Aua. This Vision came to pass on March 14, 1982, the year the "Bible Training School" was established and dedicated in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! To God be the Glory!
Pastor Tilo is the Founder and President of Voice of Christ Full Gospel Church, Inc. The Lord has richly blessed this Ministry through many years of Prayer, Fasting and Interceding of God's people for over 33 years of its establishment. Church first started in 178 Elseworth Street in San Francisco California in a humble home utilizing its basement for Church services of Praise and Worship with a congregation of 8 people. Today, through the leading and Anointing of the Holy Spirit, 22 Churches are currently established throughout the South Pacific Islands; American Samoa, Western Samoa, New Zealand as well as the Land Down Under, Australia. Churches are also established in Hawaii, Seattle, San Francisco, Long Beach and San Diego. Pastor Tilo has, and still is ministering in Street Meetings at Fagatogo Market in American Samoa every Saturday mornings since 1975, and has a Radio program Ministry (Taimi o le Filifiliga/Hour of Decision) that by the Grace of God has been running for 19 years beginning in April of 1976. This Ministry by the "Power of the Holy Spirit" is now in its 33rd year. Praise the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! To God be the Glory, Honor and Praise!!!
Pastor Tilo and his lovely Wife of 40 years have 7 children who are all serving in the Ministry. They are; Marilyn Leau, Sandra Ulu, Rudolph, Eugene, Miracle, Rachel Leiato and Taafulisia Jr.
