(This is a vivid dream I had a long time ago. Recently I told my husband about it. "Write this down," he urged me.)
| This dream takes place in a strife-torn land, the Middle East. Sounds of clashing and gunfire fill the air. It feels as if I'm a witness, and what I am seeing are sworn enemies who are fighting each other to the death. Blood is everywhere, and everywhere there are people mourning the loss of someone beloved to them.
Then God brings all of us, friend and foe alike, into one room and tells us to fast. We remain in that one room fasting, and a great darkness comes upon us all. None of us can see.
However, we can all still hear, and what we hear as we remain in the room are gigantic, rumbling, roaring sounds. We can feel the room vibrate with what is going on outside.
Eventually we all fall asleep, still hearing the rumbling in our ears.
When we awake, it's morning and God has opened the door to the room, flooding it with light.
We rub our eyes, pull ourselves to our feet, and make our way out the door in an early morning stupor.
Once outside, we take one look at what God has done, and turn to each other in amazement and bewilderment.
The entire earth has changed overnight.
No landmarks remain from before. Entire mountain chains have disappeared, along with rivers and valleys, and in their place have appeared new hills, lakes, and plains.
None of us can make out where our countries are anymore.
Then God says: "I have created this one land for all of you to dwell in peace together. This is all your land. I want you to enjoy it and flourish!"
None of us dare to say anything; there is very much the feeling in the air that, if God created the world in the first place, then God could re-arrange it however God sees fit.
However, what each one of us is thinking is this: How on earth can we all live together in this one land? There are too many differences!
Then God says: "But all of you do have something in common. And I want you to remember this single, most simple of all things whenever you are tempted to think that you have nothing in common with someone else.
Remember this: to each one of you I have given My spark of Life. You all breathe in and out.
So take a good, deep Breath and as you are doing it, remember Me. And while you are remembering Me, enjoy the Miracle of Life.
And while you are enjoying the Miracle of Life, enjoy living on the One Earth I have created for all of you.
And while you are all enjoying living on the One Earth I have created for you, enjoy living on it in Peace."
