Subject: Web page

Hi,
I went to your web page and it started out ok, but (yes there is a but!) I do not agree with your views on other religions.  It distorts all of the views of what those religions really are.  I, personally, believe in Christianity, but that does not mean that I make self sufficient views on what other religions are.  I don't believe in paganism, but that doesn't mean that I go around saying that paganism is bad because of its views on humanity.  I don't go around saying that Buddism is bad because it is the worship of a man who just sits there meditating all day focusing on life.  That is not my view on Buddism.  Even if it were, I would never say that after I said that I respected all religions.  I do respect all religions because they show someone's view on life, and because I do I don't go around saying my own take about them unless I am asked.  I ask that you start a pole and see whether or not the people visiting your page want to listen to your views.  If you want you can put this whole e-mail on your page and see if people agree with it or not.  I hope that you take my suggestions into consideration.  I await a response.  Farewell.
Sincerely,
Ian

hello;
first off, I'd like to say that I appreciate your input, though I honestly don't know what the point of a poll would be. As I see it, if people don't want to read about my views, they won't read my page.  I am quite specific about the fact that that is the purpose of the page, before a reader even truly enters the site, so a poll would be, in my opinion, redundant. I also don't recall ever saying anything negative about any other religion except for my OPINIONS on Christianity. But, if you've read my opinions on Christianity, then you must also have read that I am very aware that for many, it works.  I will repeat myself here and say that I respect that, and I am glad for those who have been lucky enough to find their paths in Christianity.  I'm assuming you are one of those.
As for me making "self sufficient views on what other religions are", again, that is what the page is about... MY VIEWS, if people aren't interested in them, they won't read them *shrug*.  Either way, I don't mind.  I enjoy keeping the site, and putting my views up for others to be able to learn more about me, and what I believe.  I think it is important for people to have access to the thought processes of others, (which is why I am actually happy to have heard from you, despite your critisism) as it helps us to grow, and prosper on our paths if we are willing to learn from them.
Bright Blessings

P.S.
I think I will take your advice, and post your letter on my site, along with this reply, (minus this paragraph *smile*) however, before I do, I would like to know if you would like your e-mail addy posted with it or not.  Please let me know.

Moon's Daughter,
I accept the fact that what you are doing is to express your own views and I think that is one thing that we need more of in this country.  I understand your reasons and I don't think that if we keep on argueing we will solve anything, so I have decided to back down unless you are willing to send e-mails back and forth between us.  I would rather appreciate it if you put my e-mail address with my letter.  You can tell anyone who reads it to send any misconceptions, arguements, or anything else they would like to talk about to me.  I ask that you would not make me feel excluded when you post the other letter on your page.
  Sincerely,
Ian

Hello again;
I'm writing this to let you know that I have posted the letters, and to let you know that I would be more than willing to discuss our differing philosophies via e-mail if that is what you meant in your last letter.
I do not consider debate to be arguing, and I believe that debate is crucial to learning how to better ourselves in our chosen paths.  I find it refreshing to be able to "speak" with someone who so obviously disagrees with my views without rancour.  Thank you.
Brightest Blessings for You and Yours
