JANELLE GREGORY
Hidden Agendas

We with bone faces
stare with fear and
riddled gloom

wishing that with
courage we could
open doors

to share our rooms.
Stiletto heels on
tight souls

keep our spirits
from finding space
we dance

but not freely
ever slow waltzes;
no tune.

Pretension paramount
softly must glide
in sight.

Not a peal, no harsh
sounds enter to.
Hush hush.

Genders capsulate
their blues  writing
one time.

Pierce in stone,
the hard wake, no--
don't shake.

It all will come
through the rampant
chaos reign.
