Luna

Goddess of the Moon.

Welcome

Welcome to A Temple of Goddess. I am Moonwolf, the Webster of this site, the Caretaker of the Temple.

This Temple is for me as much as it is for you. It is my way of giving back a little of what Goddess has given me. She has given me Life when I wanted Death. She has given me Happiness when I knew only Despair. She has given me Serenity when I knew only Hopelessness. She has given me Herself to Love when I knew only Hate for God. But more importantly, She holds my hand as we go through each day.

She asks that we spread The Word. This is one way in which I do that.

The Muses took hold and guided me through this second incarnation of the Temple. I had no idea where they were taking me until the words were printed on the screen. I can only pray that I was an adequate vessel for them to work through.

This is a non-denominational Temple. It is dedicated to Goddess, in all Her Incarnations. I can worship Her as I know Her, and you can worship Her as you know Her. I will learn from you, and you will learn from me. We will be Teacher and Student together.

I have lain the foundation to the Temple. I will maintain it and help it grow. You will help me by bringing your relationship with Goddess, your spirituality, your vision to help make this Temple a Holy Place. You will tell me what Shrines and Alcoves you need in order to feel Goddess as you know Her here in this place. You will tell me what prayers, meditations, dedications, memorials and rituals I need to include for you. Without you this Temple is only an empty web site. With you this Temple becomes a place of learning and of worship for everyone who enters. Together we will spread Her Word.

The Temple will change and grow, as does everything in Nature. It will be in a constant process of change. Sometimes it will only be a word here and there in order to refine an idea. Other times entire sections will be added, or old ones torn down. Through it all we will guide each other as She guides us.

Please excuse the scarcity of graphics. The intent was to create a cohesive site with meaningful content and to have it present to you without stifling your reason for being here. Too many graphics would slow the site to a crawl and break your concentration. The wrong graphics would also break your train of thought. Graphics will come in their proper time. I am on the hunt for the right art. I would rather have no graphics than to put "just anything" up. If you have something to contribute, please do. Keep in mind that space is limited and speed is essential. Also keep in mind that GeoCities can, at times, be slower than molasses going uphill in winter. Graphics small in size are more likely to be used than large ones. The final decision as to what comprises this site, including written submissions, rests with me because I am the one responsible in the eyes of GeoCities -- I am the Caretaker of the Temple.

Goddess Bless you.

How to Use this Temple

This is a structured site. It is designed for you to progress from one page to another solely by the links available on each page. Travelling through the site is a process. It is in your power to use the options of your browser to page back and forth at will. However that was not the way this site was intended to be used. It is also within your power to bookmark any page within this site and return there directly. While there will be times that this is expedient, it is not the way the site was created to be used.

My intention as Caretaker is not to restrict or to control. Use your judgement on how best to access this site for what you need to do. I suggest that the courses laid out be followed most of the time in order to derive maximum effect. You will know which path you need to follow.

Legal notices. Please note that any submissions to the Temple immediately become the copyrighted property of MoonWolf Enterprises. All submissions, if used, will be noted as being gifts of the person who submitted them. Credit will appear on the same page as the submission. Real names will be used unless I am otherwise instructed. If you do not agree with these conditions please do not submit anything.

New Stuff

Last month, October, was a very busy month outside of the Temple -- so not as much got done inside as I wanted. Novenber is also proving to be ultra-busy, but I will get some pages tidied up a bit at the very least. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. The Temple will be here for a long time.

Technical Specs

This site was created using IBM's OS/2 Warp v4 on a custom built MoonWolf Enterprises, Lobo AMD 5x86-133 w/32 MB RAM, a Seagate 1.2 GB Hard Drive and -- simply because it was there when I was at my "day job" -- MacOS v7.5.3 on a PowerMac 6100/66 w/16 MB RAM & a 1 GB HD. The files were transferred daily between both with a free software program called The HFS Utilities. If you are interested you can go here to read a review of HFS Utilities and find out where to get it. I use Warp's built-in PM-FTP program to access the GeoCities FTP site and maintain my files there. Nearly all software used is either native OS/2 or native DOS. The DOS software is used in Warp's DOS emulator, or rarely, in IBM's PC-DOS v7.0.

This site was created so that as many people as possible could access it. Therefore there was no proprietary formats used. This site should be viewable on all browsers without a loss of content. If you have any problem accessing or viewing this site please let me know. I am committed to upholding the freedom of the internet, which includes the freedom to freely and fully access sites with your own choice of software. Freedom is something which Microsoft is trying desperately to destroy. I encourage you to fight back by using your Freedom of Choice when determining what software you use. If Microsoft has made their Operating System incompatible with your choice of software, then dump the MS Operating System -- not your choice of software.

The following software is used by MoonWolf Enterprises in maintaining web sites. Some or all have been used here already. In time, all will be. These are in addition to the many built-in applications of OS/2 Warp -- without which we would have to buy another dozen programs:

ColorWorks v2.0 (OS/2)
Photo>Graphics v1.54 (OS/2)
Boxer/2 v7.0 (OS/2)
Netscape Navigator/2 v2.02 (OS/2)
Web Navigator v1.13 (OS/2)

Post Road Mailer v2.6 (OS/2)
PMView v1.01 (OS/2)

This second incarnation of A Temple of Goddess was finished on the Night of the Full Moon of September 1997. This was not planned, it simply happened that way. A Blessing from Goddess.
