This site is dedicated to my hopes, dreams, desires and living my life in accordance of the Wicca Rede. What is Wicca some of you ask? Well keep reading and I'll try to explain it to you.
Wicca is a nature based pagan religion. It takes its belief systems from many other tradtions such as Celtic, Norse, Fairy, and Shamanism. Each person who says they are Wiccan is going to give you a different defintion than mine simply because Wiccans in general vary so much in our beliefs. My sugestion to you is to read everything you can before formulating your own opinion. But back to what Wicca means to me. Wicca honours a God and a Goddess (who have many faces and names) equally. It also gives great importance to the four elements and the four directions. This means too me that everything has some significance or importance. Wicca has one true rule (or a commandment if you will) that is: An it Harm none do as Thou Wilt. For me this means not only yourself, and others but the Mother Earth as well. This includes mental, physical and emotional harm. If you are put into a postion where you must hurt someone or be hurt, use your best judgement and do the least amount of harm possible.
The reason this rule is so important is that anything you do wether it be for good, or bad, for yourself or others, it will come back to you threefold. This is something most of us commonally identify as Karma, or even Fate. Always remember that what you do, it will eventually come back to you, so try your best to do good. It goes back to the age old adage of: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
I perform rituals in order to celebrate life and to honor the Deitys. Rituals are at the heart of Wicca for some, and are pleasant adjunts to Wicca's philosophy, and a way of life for others. In Wicca, as with every religion, ritual means contacting the Divine. Effective rituals unites the worshiper with the Deity. Inneffictive ritual kills spirituality.
