A self-taught guitarist, Kendrick attended Teacher Training College before entering the ministry full-time in 1972. He began
performing his songs in evangelistic events and traveled for three years with IN THE NAME OF JESUS, a team working in evangelism and church renewal. Kendrick later served as Music Director for BRITISH YOUTH FOR CHRIST and continued his evangelistic mission, working with and organizing
interdenominational worship conferences.
In 1986, Kendrick became involved with what is now known as "March for Jesus"---worldwide, interdenominational marches of Christians in public statements of faith and unity.
