The Land of Milk and Honey

Under domes of marble where
Meandering neanderthals
Perpetrate their various
Nefarious affairs
Talk is plenty cheap and
All the smoke that you can eat
Is blown out of the asses
Of performing bulls and bears

This is the land of milk and honey
(Yeah, right -- and banks take Monopoly money)

In their towers of ivory
Ineffectual intellectuals
Prognosticate the planet's fate and
Tabulate questionnaires
Data's mighty cheap and
All the sheepskin you can eat
Is cranked out by diploma mills
And sold at county fairs

This is the land of milk and honey
(Yeah, right -- and cardiac arrest is funny)

In their homes of stucco
Faceless neophyte suburbanites
Carry on with Aryan
Barbarian au pairs
Parking space is cheap and
All the schmaltz that you can eat
Oozes from the TV set and carries off your cares

This is the land of milk and honey
(Yeah right -- and I'm the Easter Bunny)
