"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

 The men who created the Constitution of the United States of America knew that freedom can only be secured and safeguarded by an armed public. They wrote the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution in an effort to ensure that the people of our great nation would never be subject to tyranny backed by a standing army. In other writings, they made it clear that the word "arms" as used in the 2nd Amendment meant state-of-the-art military weapons of the same type as those used by infantrymen in the regular army. The Founding Fathers knew perfectly well that technology would advance with time, and that new and better types of military arms would be invented in due course, and they intended for us to have access to them. It is our duty and our privelege as Americans to maintain that right and the responsibilities that accompany it, and this is why we must take action now to secure our right to bear arms that have not yet been invented. Stand up! Speak out! Demand that your right to bear energy weapons not be infringed!
