The "Where to Go When There is Nothing Else To Do and You Don't Have Any Money" List
1. Go to a Super Kmart (or any "open 24 hrs." store), take two carts (depending on the # of people), and head back to the Toy Department.  Go from there.  Example: Your mission - locate the loot.  Hide it.  Blockade it.  Pillows from the sheet section work well for this task.

2. If you have SOME money, head to a Taco Bell (or other super cheap, really tasty, very unhealthy restaurant), preferably with a drive-in.  If there is a large group of people, try to walk through the drive-thru.  If this doesn't work, go through the drive thru over and over and order individual items for each person each time.  Finish it off with a request for "sporks and napkins."

3. Have a Disney marathon at whomever's house has the nicest parents and quietest siblings.  Substitute Disney for any of the following - Romance, 80's flicks, Bond, National Lampoon, old classics.

4. An alternative for #3 - Favorite Flick Nite.  Invite friends over and tell em to bring their favorite movie and a bag o' popcorn or a bottle o' pop.  Go from there.

5. Daytime Task:  Local Parks (or not so local).  Take a hike with friends or with one other person.  Interesting conversations are derived from such hikes.  Use this time as bonding time with buds.

6.  Drive to the middle of nowhere just to say you've been there. AKA - "mespo," Middlefield, Thompson, Auburn.  Here's a hint: Back roads are entertaining.  Bring more than two vehicles.

7.  Weather permitting: midnight sledding.  Wouldn't this be interesting?  Required equipment:  headlights or flashlights, gloves or mittens (something to stay warm), sleds, and a little common sense (just to be safe).

8.  Empty parking lot - radio - giddiness combined with a lack of sleep.  Party all night!

9.  Board games.  here's a few suggestions - Twister (always a hit - party can last for hours), Monotony (for a smaller group of people - more than 4 gets confusing), Trivial Pursuit, Jenga, Scattergories, Pictionary, Taboo and other group games, Scrabble, etc.

10.  Make something.  Anything at all.  Has to be in bulk though - because once you make something, you must deliver it to friends' houses.  Such as - cookies, cut-out pictures, collages, etc. (may be an extended project - great for the holidays!)

11.  Have friends over and make cookies or other favorite food item - home made pizza would work well, cakes, an appetizer, chex mix, easy cheesy things.

12.  Go off-roading.  It's a hick thing.

13.  Make up lists of things.  Any things.  Such as - "I like, I hate", "Obsessions", "Normal stuff", "Things to do when there isn't anything else to do and you are broke."

14.  Sing karaoke at a friend's house - particularily to songs you don't know.

15.  Drive around making up songs - every word at the end of each line must rhyme.  That's mandatory.

16.  Go to the mall and harass employees.  Ask stupid questions like "Is there a siamese twin section?" and "Where is the unisex floor?"  "Do you have a guy lingerie department? (Must be asked in a Victoria's Secret).

17.  Rearrange your room according to alphabetical order (only if really bored and all your friends are unavailable or you have none).

18.  Hide-And-Go-Seek Tag and all other forms of tag.

19.  Rake leaves and make big piles to jump in.  This is obviously season-permitting - also makes great volunteer activity.

20.  Sing Christmas carols door to door - holiday does not matter.  It can be April 12 for all I care.

21.  Go swimming at local pool, lake, pond, river, stream or quarry. :-)

22.  Build snowmen or slushmen (sorry, this is weather permitting too.)

Please feel free to add to my list - post your thoughts and ideas on my Add-A-Tack Board.  I'll pick the ones I like best to stick up here.
