Pacey/Jack/Kyle's Dorm Room

Pacey was so bored, it was nine o'clock on a Saturday night, and he was home studying, he remembered a time when it was like this all the time. It didn't hurt that much to think about it, it was the time when Andie and him were together, they would study all the time, only taking breaks for the occasional make-out session. He could really use one of those make-out sessions right now, he could use anything right now, even Joey's banter with him would do.

Pacey let out a huge sigh, there he went again thinking about Joey, she was constantly on his mind, for reasons he didn't know. Well, he couldn't really say he didn't know...he knew very well that the reasons were because he had been spending so much time with her lately, and because she was there when he walked in on Andie and Mark in a compromising position.

He remembered that night, it seemed like so long ago, when really it was only two months ago. Everyone was heading over Jen's house for a post-graduation party, everyone but Andie, she said that she wasn't feeling well, he sometimes wished that she really was sick. After the party he had agreed to take Joey home, they were on there way to her house, but he had gotten a idea to check up on Andie. Pacey and Joey had both felt a bad vibe, and knew something was wrong, they went up to the front door, and noticed it was slightly ajar, they headed upstairs and then they heard it. They heard a loud moan, like someone was killing a horse, Joey and him ran up the rest of the stairs, just to find Andie getting it from the back from Mark..her supposedly EX-lover.

Pacey's phone rang, knocking him out of his thoughts, and freeing him from his homework. He grabbed it before the second ring even finished

Pa:(into phone) Pacey speaking, how may I help you?

Female Voice: Hey Pacey

Pa: Speak of the devil, how may I help you?

Pacey was over Andie, but he still couldn't shake how bad she had hurt him

An: Pacey, how many times have we been over this, I'm sorry that I hurt you..but I want to make it up to you

Pacey had to supress a laugh, her help him, funny how the tables have turned. Before, it was him helping her, him being the one devoting all his time to making sure she got better, him making sure she was always happy

Pa: I want you to humor me.. tell me how *you* can help me?

An: Well, Mark and I finally broke up, and I know that you still love me and all, so if you want, you and I can try again

Pacey felt his anger seeping in, how dare she call him, talking to him like he was some desperate yuppy.

Pa: Mcphee, don't take this the wrong way, but I wouldn't go crawling back to you if you were the last female on earth...and for the record, I'm over you..and one more thing..have a nice life

Before Andie could get a word in, Pacey hung up on her.

Maybe if this was a month ago, he would've tooken her back, and that was just a maybe, he couldn't wait to tell Joey this.

He picked up the phone again, and dialed Joey's number, he knew it by heart, Joey had become like a sister, but not really one, to him. There relationship had changed so much, there was still banter between them, but it was gentle banter, it was meant to make them both laugh.

Finally, Jen picked up, Jen was one of Joey's roommates, they had gotten alot closer in the past few months as well.

Je: Hello?!?

Pa: Hola, Que Pasa?!?

Jen let out a short laugh

Je: Pace, it's Spanish this week, what happend to the ever so lovely British Accent that you acquired before?

Pa: (Jokingly) Lindely, you know I don't stick to anything for more than a week, I would've thought you knew that already?'

Jen had always told Pacey he was very picky in who he would date, he would go out with them on one date, and if they weren't up to his standerds, there would be no second date.

Je: Ha, Ha Pace, well, I know you're not calling here to talk to little old me, so I'm going to let you know Joey isn't home yet

Pa: (Fake astonishment) Jen, you hurt me, do you really think I would only call your number, if I wanted to talk to Joey?

Je:(Bluntly) Yes

Pa:(smiling)You're darn right, so where's Ms.Potter?

Pacey knew Jen was rolling her eyes, it was a bad habit she got from Joey

Je: Well, if I was her I would be celebrating..but I'm sure she's somewhere with Eve getting drunk..no thanks to you

Pacey had to admit, he deserved that one. Joey had found out that Pacey usually drank his sorrows away, and she started doing that as well, he didn't even have to ask Jen what happend.

Pa: What did Dawson do?

Je:(Sarcastic) Where do we start?

Pa:(Annoyed) What did Dawson do this time?

Jen sighed

Je:Lets see, she found him making out with some blonde on there 2 year anniversary, he told her it was her fault, and they ended up calling it quits..good riddance if you ask me.

Even though Pacey knew he should be upset at what Dawson did, he knew something like this would happen eventually. Dawson had changed alot since he came back from Philadelphia, he wasn't the same oblivious guy they all had once known and loved.

Dawson had been mentally abusing Joey for awhile, everyone knew it, even she knew it...they all just thought if they would ignore it, somehow Dawson would change back into the man he once was.

Pa: I think I'll either go and join them or bring them home, knowing me, it will probably be the latter

Je: Bring them home safely, I don't need Eve telling me to come kick your ass later

Pacey and Jen laughed, and said there goodbyes, and soon Pacey was out the door, doing his knight without the armor act.

RAW BAR

Pacey walked in, and almost immediatly spotted Eve and Joey, it wasn't too hard to find them, all you had to do was look for a girl sitting alone drinking beers while guys admired her, or look for a girl surrounded by guys, flirting madly.

Pacey decided to take the easiest route, and go talk to Joey, she was the one you had to stay clear of when drinking, if she didn't know you or didn't like you, and if you didn't one of your body parts would be paying for it.

Jo: Hey Pace

Pacey hadn't even sit down before Joey said hi, he didn't even have to ask her how she knew it was him. They always knew when the other one was near, maybe it was a body aura, or maybe it just was eachothers body scent, whatever it was, it was right all the time

The bartender gave Pacey his usual, Joey and him were almost always in there, so the bartender always knew Pacey had the rum and coke, while Joey went with the screw driver.

Jo: So, I guess Jen told you?

Pacey nodded his head, even though Joey wasn't looking at him, she could tell

Jo: It doesn't matter, we both knew it wasn't going to work out in the end,...what am I saying, I didn't know..I thought that maybe if I tried hard enough it would, maybe if I was smarter, or prettier, or even a blonde, than maybe he would want me, maybe anyone would want me

Pacey hated when Joey got like this

Pa: Jo, you know that's not true, do you know what I see when I look at you?

Jo: A too tall girl from the wrong side of the creek?

Pacey turned Joey, so that she was facing him

Pa: I see an attractive, intelligent girl who shouldn't give a damn what Dawson Leery thinks, she shouldn't give a damn what any of those negative people say or think, she should only give a damn what she thinks

Joey stared at Pacey for a minute, she thought she saw something in his eyes, but as quick as it had come, it had left

Jo: You really see those things when you look at me?

Pacey shrugged

Pa: Who doesn't?

Pacey and Joey shared a comfortable silence, while they both nursed there drinks, Pacey noticed that Joey had a band-aid on her right hand

Pa: What happend to your hand?

Joey lifted her hand up, and gave a slight smile

Jo: Lets just say that Dawson's little blone bimbo was wishing that her face could meet my fist

Pacey let a small grin come to his face, and then he rememberd why he wanted to talk to Joey

Pa: Speaking of Blonde Bimbos, I spoke to the Queen herself

Pacey noticed Joey clench her fist, Joey didn't like anyone who hurt her friends

Jo: What did she want?

Pa: Oh, you know the usual, she wanted to know how I was doing, and she even wanted to get a low guy like me some play

Pacey thought he saw a line of Jealousy go through Joey's face, but he shrugged it off

Jo: I so despise blondes

Eve took that moment to walk up to the pair, well, she did her best at walking, she was drunk, so she was tripping over her own two feet

Ev:(Slurring voice) Don't I feel loved, how can you say you don't love blondes Joey, you live with two of them

Pa: True that, but she's just saying she hates blondes who's names begin with D & A

Ev:(confused) DNA?? I didn't know you majored in Science

Joey and Pacey just rolled there eyes at eachother
