I received a package containing their full investigation and report today. Not too surprising, but interesting reading. A few highlights until I have time to scan it and post it:

1. All of the testimony given by Rick, Tim, myself, and the witnesses are exactly accurate (or at least identical).

2. The officers' perception of the "contacts" was that they were not intimidating and they did not "demand" identification. Everyone has different perception. In their case, they are probably so used to being right and being cowered before that they didn't even see themselves doing what they did.

3. One officer outright lied about mishandling my firearm. He stated that he was holding it pointed toward a wall to his right while he ran the numbers. The serial number is on the other side of the gun, however. I also distinctly recall that he looked at the wrong side first and flipped it over.

4. There was concern, which we did not know about, regarding someone who approached the car they stopped. I can see that this would cause officers concern. Do we know who this person is? Does anyone know if this actually occurred? On the other hand, they mis-stated that this subject then returned and talked to the "guys with guns". This is not true, as only Rick and I were carrying openly and nobody approached us while we were sitting.

The judicial process is like a cow: The public is impaled on its horns,
the government has it by the tail, and all the while the lawyers are
milking it.
