The sun may be shining,
Onto the trees,
But memories haunt me,
Like a cool summers breeze,
I can feel you here,
As that breeze becomes strong,
All the leaves are shaking,
Before very long,
I try to fight it,
The branches blown bare,
I can't see through tears,
Only the love we used to share,
Some memories seem sweet now,
As the tree hits the ground,
I will always remember,
The love that we found.
