Dance of Flowers

DANCE OF FLOWERS

Each pedal warm in fiery brilliance
Sways against the rain's first kiss
From it's stem's first taste of dance
Touch the sunlight's golden bliss
Find the hue of heaven's dawn
Upon a splash of lilies fair
Hold the color in your palm
Sprinkled blooms beyond compare
Watch in wonder, choreographed
So smooth upon the stage
Every leaf a gentle tap
Heard in delicate array
Gather quickly from the frost
Tips of sedum's autumn joy
Fill your heart where pain is lost
To replace the barren soil
With the tulip's first ballet
Brought to life in early spring
Hear the steps so softly played
As the dance begins again
