Forest, Fairy and Me
The forest, the forest
so free...
where else is there safety
for a fairy like me?
A wild hearted creature
so tender and small
with wings and a spirit
which conquers all.
Of life's troubles and battles
it is true,
I do not share
'cept with a few...
of the trails and mountains
I have stumbled and climbed,
to keep peace and love
in this soul, in this mind.
Shade of the forest....
comfort me?
Purple blue clouds
welcome me in?
But if rejected,
I will seek
the arms of a wild flower
down by the creek.
Sparrows, squirrels,
the bunnies, the does
stand silent watch,
o'vr wounded woes.
The horse and the unicorn
are known as my friends.
The bees, the beatles,
the sparrows, the wrens...
come to play
in the day
with a soul who images
herself to be...
a simple little fairy
with giggle and glee...
of life, it's people,
it's creatures...then me.
Gifts of nature, never decay,
night screams stay at bay.
No hideous horsemen,
riding hills of sharp steel,
no evil, no darkness,
just sunlight and clouds.
Soft spirits fill with wonder
of wind, moon and thunder.
My fine forest friend
I come into your arms
for protection and rest
from reality's harms.
Your arms hold me
ever so close,
never to harm me,
never to leave me...
never deserted,
never alone...
fine friend,
the forest,
the fairy,
and then
there
is...
me.
