Crime, and fear of crime, is a costly and demoralizing problem that affects us at every level in our society. While the victims of crime suffer injury, loss, and intimidation all of us are affected through higher prices for products, taxes, insurance premiums, and that sense of insecurity and alienation that accompanies the fear of crime.
Can crime be eliminated? Probably not, but it can be reduced and to a large part controlled. What is needed is a comprehensive strategy of Risk Management.
As a member of the Action Assessment Group I work with a group of experts which employs a team approach to this strategy, involving a multidisciplinary group of planners, consultants, and researchers. (The AAG net site is presently undergoing a revamp.) AAG has recently undergone some exciting new changes with David Wright as the new Director. I will link to athe AAG site again shortly. Greg Saville is still on-line, as are all the other AAG experts you are familiar with. Link to us through our links page attached to the "CPTED" page above. We get results with proven action-based strategies, professionally presented and taught, to community groups, Municipal Government Departments and Commissions, private developers, police agencies, and private businesses.
Typically a comprehensive crime prevention, risk management model for a commercial or business company would include a number of components considered crucial in a full crime analysis. This is where the value of the comprehensive backgrounds evident in our Team shows it's true value. Anything less would only result in short-term or reactive methods. In this respect we tend to seek solutions from within the existing environment of your business' own policies and procedures, and aim our programs at enhancing and supporting it in a positive sense.
"How do I detect thieves?" "Do my people feel secure at work?"
"Is my premise secure?" "Do we need an alarm system?"
Do we need security guards?"
"WHERE DO WE START?"
Whether it's fraud credit cards, burglary, shoplifting, void theft, internal fraud, or information thefts you are concerned about, it is your staff and executives who are your most valuable asset.
We train the trainers by spending time with you and your staff to implement any crime prevention program we design. This can then be transmitted to new staff as they are engaged to maintain continuity and integrity within your organization. The important thing is that each program is custom designed to suit each situation. Like having your own police consultants at your disposal.
If you feel unsafe walking into your underground parking garage at night, suspect information is being leaked to your competitors, are considering either security guards or maybe an alarm system but don't know where to start, consider first a comprehensive needs assessment of your situation by the Action Assessment Team. We don't sell security guards services, alarms, or any other security hardware. We sell experience.
