Orphic Scroll #64
Law
(Ah-thah-nah-tohn kah-leh-oh keh thnee-tohn ahg-noh-n ah-nahk-tah)
I call upon the Immortals and mortals of recovered purity,
(Oo-rah-nee-oh-n Noh-moh-n, ah-stroh-theh-teen)
The celestial Law, that deternines the order of the stars,
(sphrah-gee-dah dee-keh-een poh-n-too tee-nah-lee-oo keh gees)
Seal of the Law upon all, both sea and earth,
(Fee-seh-oh-s toh veh-veh-oh-n ah-klee-neh-s ah-stah-see-ah-stoh-n)
Law that sees to the steady balance in Nature,
(ah-ee tee-roon-tah noh-mee-seen ee-seen ah-noh-theh feh-roh-n meh-gah-n oo-rah-noh-n af-toh-s oh-deh-fee)
Who governs from above, directs and guides all, Supreme Law of the great heavens
(keh fthoh-noh-n oo dee-keh-oh-n ree-zoo troh-poh-n af-toh-s eh-laf-nee)
With great rage drives away all the unjust, the ill-willed,
(oh-s keh thnee-tee-seen vee-oh-tees teh-loh-s es-thloh-n eh-gee-ree)
Through the way of the Law mortals incite a good end in life,
(af-toh-s gar moo-noh-s zoh-oh-n ee-ee-kah krah-tee-nee)
for the Law alone possesses the direction of life,
(ghnoh-meh-s or-thoh-tah-tee-see see-noh-n, ah-dee-ah-stroh-fos eh-ee)
since the Law is the Righteous Model, eternally immovable,
(oh-gee-gee-oh-s, poh-lee-pee-roh-s, av-lap-toh-s pah-see see-nee-koh-n tees noh-mee-mees)
great ancient one, with great experience, who keeps safe the company of the Lawful,
(ah-noh-mees deh feh-roh-n kah-koh-tee-tah vah-ree-ah-n)
though to the unlawful brings ill fate and injury,
(al-lah, mah-kar, pan-tee-meh, feh-rol-vee, pah-see poh-thee-neh)
But, Oh Blessed, Precious One, bringer of success, much desired by all,
(ef-meh-nehs ee-tor eh-hoh-n mnee-meen seh-oh pem-peh, feh-ree-steh)
Keep us in good heart, keep us in mind, Oh Perfect One.
